Your RfA
I regret to say that I have closed your RfA early as per :WP:SNOW. I have included a summary of the opinions cast in my reason for doing so, which was essentially 'get some more experience before trying again'. You have been very brave in putting yourself in the spotlight here after so short a time of editing WP. Most people wait between six-to-twelve months before trying for an RfA and they are not alway successful either. Strategies for improving your profile for another RfA include:
#contributing effectively to articles. This includes finding references and citations for facts in reliable sources, something that is essential for an encyclopedia.
#Working on the Good Article Drive, Good Article Collaboration of the week and the Article Creation and Improvement Drive.
#Patrolling the New pages and Recent changes special pages for vandalism; tagging the pages according to the criteria for speedy deletion and warning the vandals.
#Reporting repeat vandals for admin intervention.
#Joining a Wikiproject such or finding a portal on a subject in which you are interested and contributing through that.
#Assisting at the Help and Reference desks.
#Welcoming new users.
#Becoming adopted or, when you are more experienced, adopting new users to assist them in learning about Wikipedia.
These are just some of the ideas for making effective contributions to the project. You can also see :Wikipedia:Contributing to Wikipedia for more ideas. Regards and good editing, (aeropagitica) 20:23, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

Image tagging for Image:Eric-duplessis2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Eric-duplessis2.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 02:06, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! The entry you added to May 29 doesn't seem to establish why this particular performance is historically significant:

I don't see that performance noted on the Nirvana (band) page. Our policy on the date pages is that an event should already have its own Wikipedia article that demonstrates why it's historically notable. As an example of what I mean, an entry like the following would definitely be considered historically notable:

It turns out that we don't currently have that entry on the November 9 page, but it would be completely valid. I hate to do this to you, but I've removed the Nirvana entry from May 29. Let me know if there's something I'm missing here; if that particular performance is notable, perhaps it should be noted in the Nirvana article. -- Jim Douglas (talk) (contribs) 04:56, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Kurt-cobain-greenhouse.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Kurt-cobain-greenhouse.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the GFDL-self tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as article name or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 200.118.166.103 21:19, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Marijuana

Excellent! I had cleared 50 or so a couple of weeks back, didnt know there were 1400 , but count on my support, SqueakBox 17:50, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My talk page

Definitely not. Not only can I search through it much easier with it all in one place but it lets people know I have been here a while. I should install a "leave a message here" link at the beginning, just vwauitung to come across this on another user talk page to do so, SqueakBox 18:09, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like a good idea. I can see the reasoning behind that. Floaterfluss 18:13, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-semitism vs. antisemitism

This is a topic that has been extensively discussed, and there is a prevailing practice to use antisemitism, rather than anti-Semitism. Please do not make unilateral moves like this again without at least examining the record. --Leifern 18:53, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

signature

(Copied from Wikipedia talk:How to fix your signature): Your signature is 20 lines long on my edit screen. If you must have a complex signature, please consider something like:

FloaterFluss (talk) (contribs)

Multicolored text is extremely hard to read, code-heavy, and lends undue weight to your signature compared to your comment or other people's comments. At the very least, your current signature contains a redlink to User:FloaterFluss (your name is not CamelCase). -- nae'blis 15:57, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree, it is annoying. -- Zanimum 17:06, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

Thank you for voting in my RfA, I passed. I appreciate your input. Please keep an eye on me(if you want) to see if a screw up. HighInBC (Need help? Ask me) 15:55, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just FYI, I tagged Kill screen as requiring sources. There's a lot of facts in there that I wouldn't know how to verify, so I hope you'll be able to cite your sources to improve the article. -- cmhTC 21:02, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

MY page

Excuse me, I would like to know why you would like to delete my Middlefield Challenger article. I think that classifies as vandalism(no offense) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Anirudh hungund (talkcontribs)

An image that you uploaded or altered, Image:Scott safran asteroids playing for world record 1982c.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images because its copyright status is disputed. If the image's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. Please go to its page for more information if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Extra-long article project

Hi, I recently started a new project the: WP:Extra-Long Article Committee; if interested please join. Thanks: --Sadi Carnot 13:30, 6 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletions

Regarding your edit to Mari Johnston, which I just deleted as a candidate for speedy deletion, please do not blank "vandalism" pages and request their deletion. Instead, all you need to do is add a speedy deletion tag such as db-bio to the very top of the page, leaving the rest of the page intact; this allows administrators to find the article (we have over 1.5 million of them: without these tags, we have no way of knowing which ones to assess), review its previous contents, and make a decision.

Thanks for your contributions, though: you did essentially the right thing, but there's a better way to go about it. :) Cheerio, Daveydweeb (chat/review!) 23:18, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use image use

Re [2]: The Apple logo was changed into a link because the display of fair use images outside of the main article namespace is proscribed by terms of Wikipedia:Fair use criteria item #9. I've re-changed the image into a link. If you have any questions about this, I'd be happy to answer. --Durin 17:11, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
