Despite all this Sreemoyee loves her family.

Then, on Sreemoyee's birthday, where it shows that everyone except Dinka forgets her birthday. She thinks Anindo is planning a surprise and gets ready waiting for him. Anindo on the other hand gives his secretary- June Guha an evil, treacherous divorcee, a promotion and decides to throw a party for her success, he buys a cake and drives her to his house. Thinking the cake is for her,Sreemoyee gets happy, but later is heartbroken realizing that its for June. Dinka comforts her. Anindo insults her that night for not eating the cake with June. Certain events lead to Sreemoyee getting a job as a home science teacher at Dithi's school but she gets continuously criticized by her family members except Dinka and her sister in law (Buni)’s husband-Upal Da, for having the job and Dithi insults her because it ruins Dithi's image in school, One morning Sreemoyee is too busy working for her family and certain events lead to her losing the job levaing Sreemoyee heartbroken. The latter goes to visit her parents but becomes late due to which Anindo doesn’t let her in the house for a night. Meanwhile, it is shown that Anindo and June are having an affair unknown to Sreemoyee.

After a few days, Sreemoyee gets a call from her school friend Antara, a divorced independent hardworking woman living in America. She says she’s in india and wants to meet Sreemoyee. As she comes to her house, she notices how everyone is rude to her and jokingly tells everyone about the time in college when a popular guy Rohit Sen proposed to her but she denied the proposal which leads Anindo to insult Sreemoyee. It turns out that Antara and Upal had an affair but it didn’t work out which makes Buni furious and she ends up insulting Sreemoyee. Everyone in the house is furious at Sreemoyee for hanging out with her friend so much. Meanwhile, June plans a romantic trip with Anindo at a hotel, coincidentally Antara plans a girls trip at the same hotel then certain events lead to Sreemoyee finding out about the affair, which leaves her heartbroken.

The story now takes a turn ,by covering,Jumbo's wedding and Dinka's affair. Jumbo decides to marry Ankita, a rich selfish girl who's spoilt by her mother, an egoistic women who always insults Sreemoyee. Dinka, also has an affair with Arna, a rich but reticent girl with an egoistic father Animesh who is strictly against this because of Dinka's status. At first Ankita's mother disagrees to the marriage but later she agrees. In the wedding Jumbo doesn't let Sreemoyee perform any ritual and June does it instead of Sreemoyee because Jumbo tells everyone that June is his mother. On the other hand, Animesh threatens Arna to leave Dinka and marry a guy who lives in America- Shankalpo, after hearing this Sreemoyee and Dinka go to their house but Sreemoyee gets insulted there as well. On Jumbo's wedding day, Dinka goes missing but no one notices except Sreemoyee. It is revealed that Animesh had Dinka beaten up and he is now admitted to the hospital, it is also Arna's wedding day but she leaves the mandap after finding out about Dinka's condition. Police calls Sreemoyee and she leaves for the hospital immediately without telling Anindo, because he insulted Dinka before the wedding started. Arna visits Dinka at the hospital and cries to Sreemoyee, who tells Arna to marry Shankalpa. Later Anindo finds out and comes to the hospital with June where Sreemoyee strongly insults June.

One day Anindo tells Sreemoyee that he is going to Mumbai for a meeting and his phone will be switched off, on the pretxt of hanging out with June. On the duration of his 'tour' Arindam falls sick and he had to be immediately hospitalized. Some important documents were needed for his treatment whose location Sreemoyee doesn't know.Having no choice and Anindo's phone being switched off, Sreemoyee rushes to June's house to ask for Anindo's office number and ask him about the documents. Unexpectedly, she sees Anindo entering the house buying chicken and she becomes terribly shocked. Anindo instead of apologising to Sreemoyee, berates her and tells that it was her plan. Sreemoyee calmly tells that she came here to ask June about his office number and that his father is sick. After this moment Sreemoyee becomes completely sure about their affair. Later after a series of events, Sreemoyee loses her calm and berates Anindo for cheating on her from day to day and strongly insults June too.

Anindo angrily, after days goes to stay with June and stays in separation from Sreemoyee. When one day he visits his house, he and Sreemoyee engage in a heated argument which leads Dinka to lose his calm and getting slapped by Anindo. Anindo confesses that he loves June and wants to marry her. Eventually Anindo and Sreemoyee file for a divorce. Anindo falls sick one day and Sreemoyee talks to June in the hospital and asks her to take care of Dithi since she will be going along with Anindo. After the divorce everything was normal, but June starts to be careless with Dithi and blames her for everything. Dithi goes through depression but recovers. When Sreemoyee comes to visit her, she mercilessly berates and insults her mother. When Dithi scores good result in her exams June arranges a party, where Sreemoyee comes and offers her food and congratulatesher. Dithi, mad at her mother for keeping Mithu's daughter as a replacement, refuses to take the food and badly insults her again. Sreemoyee heartbroken, leaves and requests June to take care of Dithi since June has become her actual mother. Soon, Sreemoyee falls seriously ill and is hospitalized. When Dithi and Anindo learns of it, the former repents her action and visits Sreemoyee only to get shut out by her. Then enters Shombit , June's husband who throws out June and Anindo from his house, with no other option the trio end up at Ananda Niketan permitted by Sreemoyee, now the owner of the house as given by her father-in- law.
