Speedy deletion nomination of :File:Davazdah Rokh.jpg
A tag has been placed on :File:Davazdah Rokh.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. <!-- Template:Db-noimage-notice --> <!-- Template:Db-csd-notice-custom --> Sfan00 IMG (talk) 12:28, 28 May 2016 (UTC)

June 2012

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Names of the Caspian Sea. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Caspian_Sea#Etymology. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Caspian_Sea#Etymology - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Rorshacma (talk) 18:46, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • the article created should remain separate because the Caspian sea has 45 names and it is not possible to write about all this name in the article of the Caspian sea.please look how it is possible to write this article from persian weki into [1]
  • about the different name of Caspian sea in the Caspian sea . the names need its own page.as it has in the persian page
Do you seriously believe that people in Europe call the sea Philip, William, Jackson or Morgan? You need to provide a reliable source, if not several reliable sources, for such a ridiculous and fanciful claim. I note that the only source that you provided was written by your friend / alter ego, Dr Ajam. Bazonka (talk) 08:39, 21 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for April 19

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Davazdah Rokh, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Khorasan. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Sarv Zibad moved to draftspace

Hi. You made some minor categorization mistakes in that draft, which prompted a question on the Help Desk and I had a look at the draft.

It is completely understandable that the first draft of an article is not quite right, or that there are spelling/grammar mistakes. However, as it stands the article has more fundamental problems:

  1. The "his rebellion" section states that he was part of a power struggle around 1777, but the "early life" section indicates he moved to Baghdad under Omar Pasha; according to our article Omar Pasha was governor of Baghdad in 1857-1859. (Unless it is a different Omar Pasha?)
  2. None of the seven persons listed under the disambiguation page Abdullah Pasha died in 1777

Notice that I have next to zero knowledge of Ottoman or Iraqi history, so if I can spot those problems, clearly the article is not good enough for mainspace yet.

Considering other posts on your talk page, I would ask you to please refrain from creating articles in the mainspace. Use the WP:AFC process instead once you are satisfied with the quality of the draft. TigraanClick here to contact me 15:55, 6 April 2021 (UTC) An article you recently created, Mohammed Ajam, is not suitable as written to remain published. Reliable sources and POV-pushing

Hi, Basp1. I've reverted your edits to Arabian Sea. I've done so for three reasons:

  1. They seemed designed to push a point of view that the Arabian Sea should in fact be called the Persian Sea. It is not Wikipedia's place to determine how things should be. We only document them as they are.
  2. They failed to cite reliable sources documenting that "Persian Sea" is a widely-used alternative name.
  3. There were a number of spelling and grammar issues. Please take a look at our Manual of Style (or the shorter version of it).

I would suggest that you discuss on the article's talk page before restoring the content in question, to see if you and other editors can come up with a good solution to this disagreement. -- Tamzin (she/they, no pref.) | o toki tawa mi. 07:19, 18 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • I had never said it should be called persian sea.no body have the right to change an international recognized name.it was insisted by other user I just added some documents to say it was called by other names and there are numerous documents in Arabic that can mentioned other names. but it is just a historical remined not anything more. I am not in favor of change of any names.you should not revert it but you can edite and delet any source you think is not reliable 08:14, 18 May 2021 (UTC)
    • I don't believe Arabian Sea should be redirected because the body of water officially is Arabia sea . the big problem is that historically in persian and Arabic text and deeds it was called persian sea (Bahre fars=bahre Ajam) and some text called it macran sea until 18 century. and the Turks call it Oman sea so only this historical facts should be written and told to readers of the Arabian sea . if this have been done then not necessary to redirect to any other page . reading persian text or Arabic text by google is not correct and you should not judge the article by google translate the sentences that you thing is not reliable or 'odd' remarks in that article infact are mentioned from medieval geographical Arabic text book and it is history text not for any judgment. but the researchers should know the background of the name of [[Arabian sea] we should not Censorship or omite the historical issues and facts is not the work of Wikipedia

Hello User:Basp1. You are risking a block for edit warring if you change the Arabian Sea article again, without first getting a consensus for your change on the article talk page. As you know the issues about Arabian Sea have been discussed at ANI. Let me know if you have any questions. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 17:21, 26 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • there are many mistake in the page I am trying to add necessary information.according to hundreds of books and documents previous name of Arabian sea was persian sea but there is no even a single mention of the name persian sea in all article.for example look at reference (8) in the alternative name:"

Erythraean Sea,[1] this reference itself is a prove of the persian sea look at para No 34- 35 . why they don't want to mention it. somebody should look at my edit references in historical names [2] and add the what is necessary in historical names and maps. at the moment it is not fair. revers of my edit is against the policy and the aims of wikipedi . 00:45, 27 May 2021 (UTC) 01:02, 27 May 2021 (UTC)
