== The fantastical animals described in Natural History. ==

By modern standards would this bestiary of fantastical animals and other creatures would fall under Greek Folklore? Since Greek Mythology does not seem appropriate for various reasons due to the nature of this book.

Or should the creatures described in his works be considered a parody-like take on actual tribes and animals of the time? [[Special:Contributions/74.124.162.10|74.124.162.10]] ([[User talk:74.124.162.10|talk]]) 05:04, 6 July 2021 (UTC)

Undiscussed move: propose revert

93 has moved "Natural History (Pliny)" to "Natural History (encyclopedia)", without giving any explanation. The new title is longer, less easy for editors to guess, does not name the author, and has no precedent in common usage, so it might be thought not much of an improvement.

A better title, more suited to the modern world, might be "Pliny's Natural History" or "Pliny the Elder's Natural History", both of which are used as names of editions (Philemon Holland's and Trevor Murphy's, respectively, for example), but the use of a genitive in a title is not much liked on Wikipedia, I therefore propose we revert the title to "Natural History (Pliny)".
