The Barnstar of Diligence
For hanging in there with dignity and integrity all this time. I asked you to keep up the good work on the Trayvon Martin pages, and keep up the good work, you certainly have. I've been following along all this time. Well done, Isaidnoway. Thank you. ArishiaNishi (talk) 23:12, 5 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The Guidance Barnstar
Dear Isaidnoway,
Thank you very much, once again, for your most helpful advice and guidance on list-defined references. Your assistance has helped me implement it in a way that takes on board lessons learned from your experience, and which will therefore be of benefit to future editors, if/when consensus is reached about adopting it.
Thank you also for all your contributions to our encyclopaedia.
With kind regards;

DYK for A Question of Love

On 15 May 2021, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article A Question of Love, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that A Question of Love was widely regarded as a bold film for portraying homosexuality, a rare topic for television dramas in 1978? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/A Question of Love. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, A Question of Love), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

My reverted edit

Hi there. I recently linked to the Haiti page from Deforestation of Haiti. You reverted with the comment "unnecessary". I couldn't find a link on that page to the main country page. I checked that a quite a few of the "Deforestation in X" pages have similar links, so I guess my need and instinct was shared. I read through the help page and guidelines on Linking and couldn't find something there that would indicate this was either overlinking or against some explicitly stated reason. Could you expand on your reasoning? Thank you! EGGman64 15:39, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Eggman64: - You are referring to this edit that you made in November 2020. You put empty ref tags → <ref></ref> at the top of the page that serve no purpose, don't do that. And please see avoid these common mistakes - Links should not be placed in the boldface reiteration of the title in the opening sentence of a lead. Find somewhere else in the article to put the link. Thanks. Isaidnoway (talk) 16:57, 30 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
