Welcome!

Hello, Thewikiuser1999, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one of your contributions does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.

There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Questions page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. Below are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome!  --VVikingTalkEdits 20:05, 19 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced information and low quality edits to Raj Darbhanga

Information icon Hello, I'm Ixudi. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Raj Darbhanga, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Ixudi (talk) 07:28, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hi Thewikiuser1999! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of an article several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you.--VVikingTalkEdits 15:51, 20 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Battle of Kandarpi Ghat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://darbhangaraj.blogspot.com/2017/05/warrior-of-sirkar-tirhut.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Deauthorized. Mithila

Hi! In the article Battle of Kandarpi Ghat, which you created, you linked to the disambiguation page Mithila three times in the infobox. Could you possibly help sort out what you meant in each case by fixing those links so that they point to the correct articles? Thanks! —ShelfSkewed Talk 16:31, 3 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

It has been sourced and upgraded now, thanks. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 00:58, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Treaty of Mungi-Shevgaon, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you would like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. jp×g 01:01, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That article was falsely moved and destroyed a biased user earlier and directed to a new page. I've restored it to how it was earlier. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 01:04, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Biased user? There was no battle at Palkhed and it was proved with discussions. You created a new article called Battle of Palkhed by just copy pasting the source code from early revision. Ajayraj890 (talk) 03:35, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article.
Please do not add or change castes/religion/ethnicity in articles without a reliable secondary source. SKAG123 (talk) 23:16, 9 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Maharaja Narendra Singh has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

sources are unreliable

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SKAG123 (talk) 01:26, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sourcing and a general comment

You are still using a lot of very poor sources, despite past advice. Examples include at Battle of Palkhed, Battle of Kandarpi Ghat, and Raj Darbhanga. Worse still, you seem often not to include page numbers etc and to be searching using terms which might cause confirmation bias.

I think that your English writing skills are rather poor also, which is causing a lot of very confusing prose, sometimes utter gibberish, to appear in articles. I suspect that English is not your first language and wonder if you might find it more congenial to edit a version of Wikipedia which is based on whatever your first language may be. - Sitush (talk) 16:57, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

You have also been doing this at various articles, even though the image is clearly marked as being fictional. Please stop. - Sitush (talk) 17:32, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Despite the above and messages from others here and at numerous article pages, you have just begun reverting me. You'll end up with a block per WP:CIR if you aren't careful. Please listen to those who have much greater experience than you. - Sitush (talk) 19:57, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have reverted me again at Maharaja Narendra Singh. Are you aware of WP:3RR? Pinging Bishonen, Abecedare, RegentsPark - this has echoes of past disruption on articles relating to Maithil Brahmins. - Sitush (talk) 20:11, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And you have again reverted me here also. It is a fictional image and the Wikimedia Commons page says as much. I think that was actually tagged by Abecedare. - Sitush (talk) 20:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I think you may now have exceeded 3RR at Raj Darbhanga. I have tried to get your attention to this thread via an almost immediate response to your comment at an article talk page but you seem not to be interested. - Sitush (talk) 20:23, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
English isn't my first language doesn't automatically means what I wrote was giberish, it was pretty accurate historically and I already death with Battle of Palkhed page, it's restored now and rightfully added where it was previously. Secondly, the sources I posted for Raj Darbhanga and Narendra Singh are valid. You clearly do not seem to have experience in Mithila history so let me handle it from here. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 20:25, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The issue is your experience of Wikipedia, not history. - Sitush (talk) 20:26, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
The issue isn't my experience of Wikipedia, I have decent experience. You gain experience by creating articles, writing and fixing mistakes. It doesn't come immediately to anyone. I know how to write history and add valid sources. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 20:30, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You have made 213 edits to Wikipedia, all in 2023. I'd say at least 70% of those have been challenged or corrected by various people. I've made about 250,000 edits over 15 years or more, of which I'd guess no more than 10% have been challenged, possibly far fewer. No-one with a few hundred edits has a claim to experience, I'm afraid, and especially not if they are basically a single-purpose account: it's a complicated environment with many policies and guidelines. - Sitush (talk) 20:41, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Instead of fixing errors and minor grammatical stuff on Narendra Singh's page you're removing whole sections and sources. You also removed rulers from Raj Darbhanga article just because some of their articles don't currently exist. It followed a proper lineage. I'll have to revert it you commit these mistakes. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 20:28, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See WP:V, WP:RS and note WP:PRIMARY. These are just a subset of the reasons why your edits have been corrected and why you should now self-correct. - Sitush (talk) 20:31, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I notice also that you used this talk page on 9 October, so there isn't a great reason for you ignoring my messages here today. - Sitush (talk) 20:44, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Added pages numbers + source already where it was needed. Don't worry. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 20:52, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Are you referring to this edit which you have just made, after restoring the two sources mentioned in it? As I have now told you several times, one of those sources fails WP:PRIMARY, while the other was written by a school principal & published by an outfit I haven't come across in all my time here - I've looked at it and it doesn't seem to meet WP:RS. - Sitush (talk) 20:57, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
And despite being told several times in several places, including at least one article talk page discussion in which you participated, that Priceedings of the Indian History Congress should be avoided due to politicisation and lack of peer review, you've just reinstated it again. You clearly have no intention of collaborating here - it's your way every time. - Sitush (talk) 21:19, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This standard message is designed as an introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template. Bishonen | tålk 20:45, 13 October 2023 (UTC).[reply]

Thanks, will read. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 20:54, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I suggest you read that before making any further article edits. You've made several since your reply above and every one of them displays tendentious editing and worse. - Sitush (talk) 21:22, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There only ones I didn't properly upgrade or add sources to. Current ones have page numbers added. Thewikiuser1999 (talk) 23:16, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Reinstating unreliable sources & then adding page numbers doesn't make them suddenly reliable. - Sitush (talk) 12:43, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thewikiuser, when Sitush tells you you're guilty of tendentious editing it's really irrelevant to reply with something about page numbers. Tendentious editing is a major problem; did you click on the link to it? Another major problem is persistently poor sourcing, especially restoring unreliable sources after the problem with them has been explained to you. I'm afraid I've had to topic ban you from India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan; see the big yellow box below. Bishonen | tålk 16:17, 14 October 2023 (UTC).[reply]

Maithil Brahmin

You are well aware of List of Maithil Brahmins, which you have recently edited, so why did you do this and subsequent edits at Maithil Brahmin? The list is linked from that article anyway. - Sitush (talk) 15:49, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Notice that you are now subject to an arbitration enforcement topic ban

The following topic ban now applies to you:

You have been topic banned from editing all pages and discussions related to India, Pakistan, or Afghanistan.

You have been sanctioned for persistent tendentious editing and use of unreliable sources despite warnings and explanations.

This topic ban is imposed in my capacity as an uninvolved administrator under the authority of the Arbitration Committee's decision at Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/India-Pakistan#Final decision and, if applicable, the contentious topics procedure. This sanction has been recorded in the log of sanctions. Please read WP:TBAN to understand what a topic ban is. If you do not comply with the topic ban, you may be blocked for an extended period to enforce the ban.

If you wish to appeal the ban, please read the appeals process. You are free to contact me on my talk page if anything of the above is unclear to you. Bishonen | tålk 16:17, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
