== Terrorist shooting?? ==

Why are you calling this a terrorist shooting?? An enemy military base is a valid target, there is nothing terrorist about it [[Special:Contributions/2804:4FFC:423:ED00:BCEE:172C:B3C0:ECA0|2804:4FFC:423:ED00:BCEE:172C:B3C0:ECA0]] ([[User talk:2804:4FFC:423:ED00:BCEE:172C:B3C0:ECA0|talk]]) 22:30, 13 December 2023 (UTC)

14 killed(including an unborn baby)

One of the victims was pregnant. Shouldn't the kill count be 14? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talkcontribs) 00:49, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Seems I was right. One of the victims was pregnant. Changing the kill count. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/fort-hood-massacre-victims-pregnant-soldier-francheska-velez-moment-silence-bases-article-1.414362 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Graylandertagger (talkcontribs) 23:39, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

We have to go by the count used in reliable sources.--TMCk (talk) 23:47, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Additions to the aftermath section

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I think it would be helpful to add a portion about the 10th anniversary of the shooting which was in 2019. A small ceremony was held at Fort Hood which brought together the victim's families. Mike Pence also issued a statement about the 10th anniversary. Some of the links I plan to use are below:

Please comment any thoughts!

My experience.

I keep editing it to add my experience. A lot of this is wrong. I haven’t tried to edit out your wrong details but did try to add some facts. But someone keeps deleting it. I don’t know why. I have a soldiers medal from the day and I want to add my piece. I should be allowed to do that. No one ever tied the door shut with a belt. And when I got back inside with colonel Warman and another private, there was no one inside but bodies. I think when it talks about medics and nurses getting into the building they mean me.I came in the back. But that was before he shot the first police officer. I took colonel Warman from them and carried her around the corner and back into the building because I didn’t know he already went through there. He was aiming back towards them and about to shoot all three of them. He shot at us while I was running and hit her again while she was on my shoulders. Then he shot the first officer while we tried to treat colonel Warman and the the others in the building. Everyone was dead though, besides colonel Warman. She died enroute to the hospital. Mr Toro came in after the shooter was taken down to help with cpr. My name is Daniel Butler, Soldiers medal for heroism. 2604:5C80:200:E0C:44CB:A629:4C3D:B720 (talk) 20:18, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The reason your contribution keeps getting deleted is that Wikipedia has a hard policy of WP:No original research. People are not allowed to share their personal experiences. Instead, Wikipedia descriptions must be built up as a summary of published material. If your viewpoint isn't published by a reliable source, then it's not part of the literature about the topic, and so it's not part of the summary of the literature.
You should contact a writer who can compile your experience with other ones and publish a fuller description. Or you can research it yourself, interview multiple witnesses, and write your own magazine article. Binksternet (talk) 22:05, 29 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
