I had requested on the talk page for the redirect ([Talk:Common elements of Final Fantasy]) that the merge be delayed until someone actually adds some information about the races of FF to the Common Elements page. This will ensure continuity; anyone currently looking for races info cannot find anything. Do you have any objections if I revert to the unmerged version of this page? Revision as of 10:02, 22 October 2007

I, Bluerfn, was initially through with editing in Wikipedia, especially with the Final Fantasy articles and the Wikiproject Final Fantasy that I've joined. It was fun while it lasted, but I have moved to a different wiki which is less stressful and less ridiculous than here. But, seeing that I love Final Fantasy and would not want to see all the effort I pour to the good articles I've helped made go to the dumps, I'll still be lingering as part of the said Wikiproject maintenance. Other than that, don't expect much from me. Until then, I'm on an indefinite wikibreak with less to no interest in editing Wikipedia.

Races of FF

I had requested on the talk page for the redirect ([Talk:Common elements of Final Fantasy]) that the merge be delayed until someone actually adds some information about the races of FF to the Common Elements page. This will ensure continuity; anyone currently looking for races info cannot find anything. Do you have any objections if I revert to the unmerged version of this page? ashish.vashisht 10:02, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

FFT article

So far, I have only used IGN for a (previously) unreferenced statement on the FFT article. Can you give me some help on contributing the FFT article? That would be great if you respond. Thanks Sjones23 21:32, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vagrant Story GA on hold

Please see Talk:Vagrant Story for more information. Cheers, LankybuggerYell15:35, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry so much about the copyediting. I'd be happy to give the article a read-through and handle it myself when I get home. Cheers, LankybuggerYell19:26, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Vagrant Story is now a GA-class article. Good work! Cheers, LankyYell19:22, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tactics Advance

I own the game, but I've only played like two missions :) And I got a used copy, so I don't have the instruction manual. This one is going to be mostly on you guys. — Deckiller 21:30, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, this isn't geared at you in particular, but I left a message about editor behavior on the FF project talkpage, since I've noticed some people shoting and swearing lately, and it worries me. Figured you might have some ideas as well. — Deckiller 21:38, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My edit summaries

I'm sorry, I didn't mean to point out your mistakes, I just made the same changes earlier, and somehow your edits when you added the referencing reverted all of my corrections, so I thought that maybe you had purposefully reverted them, so I figured that I might be able to prompt specific discussion by making specific edits instead of just one correction with a general edit summary, and this is just turning into one long run-on setence, isn't it? :) --—ΔαίδαλοςΣΣ 21:37, 9 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free images

The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:44, 14 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reference-stripping is bad, please don't do it

Regarding this edit - stripping out references is considered grossly destructive behaviour, whether the link is dead or not, and has attracted extreme penalties from the arbitration committee in the past for precisely this reason. Please don't ever do this again. The {{cite web}} template includes an "accessdate" parameter for just this use - David Gerard 17:32, 15 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You suck balls

My what a charming fellow... Cheers, Lanky (YELL) 17:37, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just keeping it as a reminder... of how stupid (making bad faith comments), uncouth (not signing posts) and cowardly (hiding behind IPs) people can become. — Blue 01:05, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Think of it as a trophy, instead. If vandals are beginning to troll your talk page, you're certainly helping out Wikipedia. Keep up the good work! Cheers, Lanky (YELL) 16:53, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First Edit Day

Hadn't noticed this, but it's been one year since my first edit in Wikipedia on 23rd May! Happy First Edit Day for me! — Blue 04:43, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why are you leaving?

Why are you leaving Wikipedia? You have done some great work with us, especially with Final Fantasy XII. Wasn't there going to be a push to get Final Fantasy Tactics to GA status? Can we just ignore the controversy surrounding the gameplay merges and focus on something we can all agree on and work on without controversy: the main articles? You can always balance the two projects between the great detail and guidance at the Wikia and the scholarly overview at Wikipedia. I'm begging you not to leave! — Deckiller 02:43, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've lost interest in Wikipedia not because of its editing policies, but because of certain editors who've used the policies and garnered excuses which ranged from "notability" to "cruft": tagging with Notability tags and Merge tags, what gives? The recent mergers have diverted attention from the main game articles; they were neglected. I've been calling for a FFIX FA and FFT GA push, but response was severely lacking. I don't want to point out names, but I believe ever since they suggested mergers, WP:FF has lost its focus. I really want to stay, I really do, but the recent mergers have made me sick and I wish to deassociate myself from the project. I won't declare myself a WP:FF member, but I will join the roll call and my contributions is strictly for the main articles. — Blue 03:52, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You know me. I've always tried to stress getting the main articles to GA/FA. We were really the only two interested in those GA/FA pushes for that time, and it sort of slipped away as others began working on other things. I don't mind sidestuff, and sometimes I don't mind getting caught up into it, but "too much of a good thing" leads to overcompensation. I think that people wanted a break from the FA pushes, so they decided to merge. And I went along with it; however, it was overcompensation. — Deckiller 05:11, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
On that topic, to get a survey: which merges did you like and which did you dislike? — Deckiller 05:15, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Current issue at Talk:Final Fantasy XIII

AARRGGHH!!! I can't believe how stubborn they are being! They keep making accusations of you being unCIVIL and hinting at both of us OWNing, yet no one is actually SAYING ANYTHING!!! Don't they realize that even if they really do think someone else is being rude, CIVILity still goes both ways? I'm typing in politely and asking them to either make a clear point or stop entirely, but meanwhile I just want to repeatedly bash my face into my computer monitor!!! Sorry about this, I just needed to vent a little somewhere other than the article talk page.  :) --—ΔαίδαλοςΣ 18:03, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The thing is, these are anonymous people who can hide behind their IPs. And which is one of the many things I dislike about IP editors, is their anonymousity. I've read the talk page guidelines, and I'm fairly sure that thread can be deleted as it does not build anything for the subject article. — Blue 18:07, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Now that I think about it, it may not be 100% appropriate to delete the thread as a whole, what with the whole preserving history thing, but maybe we can archive or lock the thread? Similar to what is done in XfD's? --—ΔαίδαλοςΣ 19:41, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Archiving sounds best IMO. Locking may be a second choice option. After all, it's reasonable; the only discussion done there is ranting about editors, not helping the page at all. — Blue 19:52, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning templates

Sorry about that. I got one this morning as well because I guess my sarcasm wasn't clear. You weren't at fault because you didn't name names, and it's fine to criticize in that way (people do it all the time; it's sheer hypocrisy...) I left a message on Kariteh's talkpage about the general response of warning templates on established users' pages. — Deckiller 13:20, 20 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Templates

Hey, just wanted to let you know that if you're going to leave a warning template, subst it. For example, instead of {{uw-vandalism1}}, try {{Subst: uw-vandalism2}}. Thanks! Cheers, JetLover (Talk) (Sandbox) 03:35, 21 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source

Thanks for uploading Image:Ealdnarche.jpg and Image:FFXIIHume.JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 09:41, 3 July 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 09:41, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops! I forgot to add an edit summary, which I should have done while archiving (and I was embarrassed to discover that I did not put in an accurate edit summary). Thanks for the advice, Blue. :D And good luck with future contributions. Greg Jones II 02:00, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Semi-Retired?

I am currently on wikibreak. I am not really semi retired. I apologize for not replying to the FFTA GA drive sooner or later. I wanted to launch an FA drive for WPFF. Thank you for your comments. I am now going to be unretired. Thanks once again for your comments. :D And good luck with future contributions. All the best. Greg Jones II 13:03, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

After this page entry you left me there, I am now unretired. And I also contribute to the FF wiki. Greg Jones II 13:07, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your comments. I just decided that I am now unretired and I will reply at your talk page on FF Wiki to let you know I am there. Thanks and all the best. Greg Jones II 13:57, 30 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

re:First Edit Day and FFTA

Thanks for the comment :)

I've been making some tweaks to FFTA. It's definitely GA quality, and I've just been polishing it for something to do. Have I missed much in the last couple weeks? I think I'm up to speed... — Deckiller 12:22, 4 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I have some problems with my pc and can't access the internet. So I'm not sure what you missed, but it definitely got a GA. thanks for polishing the article up, I wanted to do that over the weekend but alas... it'll be some time before my net connections up again. — Blue 15:45, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Check Up

Hi Bluerfn. I haven't seen any of your edits or responces on Wikipedia recently and I wanted to check up on you and see how you were doing. So then, how are you? I was hoping we could talk sometime, somewhere other than Wikipedia. I hope I wasn't a direct contributor to you leaving Wikipedia (temporarily or indefinately). Well then, take care for now. 72.49.194.69 02:07, 16 August 2007 (UTC) Joshua[reply]

Thanks for your concern, Joshua. I am fine, but unfortunately, I'm busy with my project paper and could not focus my energy on working with Wikipedia as much as I used to. You don't have to worry, it takes more than the likes of you to deter me from Wikiediting :D I haven't check my emails for months, and I seldom go into discussion boards and the like, so Wikipedia is your best bet so far. Thanks again for your concern. Cheerio. — Blue 07:13, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good to hear your doing okay. I was considering creating a Wikipedia account myself rather than simply "hiding behind an IP" and all. However, as it stands I have become quite unpopular on Wikipedia due to my outbursts of anger. I would soon be the subject of spam and comments like the one you recieved "You suck balls all day and night!" type thing, probably deservedly so in some instances. I've also upset a few Wikipedia editors for making changes and revisions to the body of main articles which then invoked them to say that someone who was not a member is free to partake in discussions but should NEVER make changes to the article. I don't feel the current discussions taking place in the FFXIII article are contributing to the article, mostly just people asking questions or reiterating an already known fact about the game. I was sad to hear they would not be using the FFXII battle system for FFXIII. How do you feel about that, did you even like FFXII's battle system? Or did you, like other FF fans, feel that it was a betrayel of FF basics? 72.49.194.69 18:39, 17 August 2007 (UTC) Joshua[reply]

Leaving

I am really sorry to hear that you are leaving for an indefinite period of time due to certain personal issues and also on the universities. You have been an invaluable user here and I hope you will come back to editing on Wikipedia soon once your personal issues and university time are over. Final Fantasy 12 Bias

You always seem to remove statements that the characters of FF12 have been criticized heavily in comparison with other FF's. This is a TRUE statement, and being an FF fan, you should know this. I am an FF fan as well, so why are you blatantly removing anything negative about the game? You disgust me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.167.48.187 (talk) 02:46, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Am I to be concerned of what you feel towards me? No. And as for that so-called "bias", that wording is the main idea of the first paragraph. I did find the statements to write that criticism section and even quoted the reviewers words as is. But you can't be bothered to find source for those statements you inserted in the paragraph, and even overlooked the vandalism did before you wrote it. I've reverted that and reworded the layman wording you've inserted. It's neutral, happy now? Good day. — Blue 04:29, 18 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This new wave of Wikipedia editors concerns me. They are eager to get involved in the workings of Wikipedia, so they attempt to Wikilawyer. They fail to realize how things are really done around here. — Deckiller 14:05, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I actually had you there since you have contributed to 3 FAs already but Deck and others opted to make 1 year of project life part of the criteria. How long have you been here ?
