Wikipedia:How to edit a page

Research done by Cambridge University. It's intersting.    Juthani1    01:18, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment: moved to top of page; by the way, did you mean for it to point to "How to edit a page"? —T-borg (T | C) 01:25, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Through the fire and the flames we carry on!

Listening to the song, I thought this would make a great motto. STORMTRACKER 94 Go Irish! 23:44, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Weak Oppose I like the idea, but I (and probably multiple others) have listened to that song one too many times. It's like getting carpal tunnel in both my arms again (if you get what I mean). 75.66.58.122 (talk) 21:14, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What goes around, comes around.

The motto simply says "what goes around, comes around," in other words with the links, "If you vandalize too much, you will be blocked" It may convince users to stop vandalizing, or they will face the consequences of being blocked. RyRy5 (talk) 23:45, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Teenagers scare the living shit out of me...

Lyrics from the linked song. I was tempted to just link the word teenagers to admin and leave it at that (admins scare me to death would be the message). 75.66.58.122 (talk) 12:22, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

All you need is a Sharpie to get high.

Now, I realize that it was proven that you can't actually get completely high from sniffing/snorting a Sharpie, but this is definitely better than saying All you need is a syringe full of heroine to get high. flaminglawyerc 12:04, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender

From the famous Winston Churchill speech. I know it's a long one but that's about the smallest I could condense it to. I was wondering what a good link for 'surrender' would be. Joelster (talk) 22:31, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When I write songs, The music comes first. Lyrics are second.

So I've heard many songwriters say this (eg. Julian Casablancas, Kurt Cobain), so I thought it would be good to say the "music" is citing sources and "lyrics" is the contents of the articles. So tell me what you think. Thanks! (SUDUSER)85 13:26, 5 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]
