Tragic Kingdom's FAC

This is hard work, eh? Thanks for the constant attention to the article. Now "Production" is its own section and the singles subsection has been trimmed, the "Music" section looks skinny. Is there any way we could change it to look more like this? I don't know where we'd get all the quotations from though. DAMNDAMNDAMN!

I don't own the album. Is there much/anything in the liner notes?

PS. Shame about your gov. -- Escape Artist Swyer Talk Contributions 01:23, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Bugger. Still, it improved the article. -- Escape Artist Swyer Talk Contributions 20:17, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
She's taken it off the active list at WP:FAC. I'm pissed off, but know there's a lot of work to be done in the "Music" section. -- Escape Artist Swyer Talk Contributions 22:22, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sonic Unleashed

Thanks for that, glad all the hard work paid off. Perhaps I can try some other Sonic games, would be nice to see more of the series get GA status; even if it has been tanking for a while, it's probably still legendary enough to deserve it. SynergyBlades (talk) 01:57, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do. My only advice would be to restrict your scope to the main game entries for the time being, for the collection of Sonic articles are notorious around the interwebs for their exceedingly detailed in-universe content (read: cruft generally added by the rabid 3D-era fans, mostly as IP editors), and trying to wrap your brain around the task of bettering all Sonic articles in general is not for the faint-hearted. :) I'd quite like to get the Genesis-era games up to GA, but the further back one goes the less likely it is that reliable development and reception information can be (easily) found. Top video game importance

Hi- I noticed some of your recent edits regarding article importance. The Video games project recently updated their importance scale, and one result of the lengthy discussion was that all articles about a single video game would be not be rated top importance without a discussion at WT:VG. If you think some the games you rerated to top deserve the rating, you are welcome to start a discussion there.

Also, if you are interested in helping with assessments, the VG project has an Assessment department that rates articles and offers basic advice to editors. There are several experienced editors there that could use the help with assessing and would help you learn the ropes. Feel free to post on the talk page if you're interested. Ah, okay. I thought you might have been commenting on the page's supposed promotion of ownership (as several have before). I apologize if I came off as a tad hostile. -- Scorpion0422 15:21, 26 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Apologies for absence

Hey, sorry I haven't been on here for a while. I have some RL stuff going on at the moment and will have for another fortnight or so. Be back then.-- Escape Artist Swyer Talk Contributions 20:51, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, snow. We have about 25 cm (10 inches) of it here in London so everything was cancelled for the day due to lack of transport. Good news about Everything in Time. Thanks for updating my page. Now to focus efforts on Boom Box (album) until we can nominate that over at WP:GAN. While that goes through the lengthy backlog we can brush up the music section of Tragic Kingdom. I'm sure we can write lots about the themes of Stefani's femininity and breakup with Kanal and fill it with quotations from the interview mine on the band's website. Breaking news: I have a snowday tomorrow too. -- Escape Artist Swyer Talk Contributions 00:02, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:ShadowTheHedgehogScreenshot.JPG)

Thanks for uploading File:ShadowTheHedgehogScreenshot.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 5 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Portal:Linkin Park

You're welcome Tezkag, I am a Linkin Park and Nu metal fan too. I would like to continue to help the portal, If you can give me your ideas on contents of the portal. Like News, DYKs etc. Cheers!--Chanaka L (talk) 07:34, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, It is better if Selected Articles are QAs and FAs. According to WikiProject Linkin Park, which you are all a member there are 1 FAs, 2 GAs and 4 Bs. for featured portal a portal need at least 10. So we should get more quality articles. unfortunately Selected Article is not randomized yet. But Selected Picture is. Cheers!--Chanaka L (talk) 14:25, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Seems to be Minutes to midnight have the potential. So I suggest you to start improve it for yourself. Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Metal seems to be pretty active. ask there for help. I can also lend little helping hand. I got the feeling it's gonna be fine. Cheers!--Chanaka L (talk) 02:15, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shadow the Hedgehog

You've definitely done a great job, especially on the now-referenced gameplay section and plot. For the plot, it might be nice to include something about what sort of range the ten endings encompass, something I wouldn't be surprised to see a review at least mention briefly. I did add the development information from that IGN interview I found, but couldn't find much else, as nice as it would be to expand this section further (I don't know if that would hold up assessment). I trimmed the censorship section to keep the quotes in the refs, as it seemed a bit redundant to include it twice and wasn't significantly adding to the article to have them listed in the prose itself. Also, you'll need to check the reference for the initial ESRB rating as it wasn't in the given reference (I've added a couple of tags for that section, one of which is next to the reference in question). Finally I wonder whether the reception section isn't a bit short and could do with some more information; perhaps splitting into either what was appreciated followed by what wasn't, or into sections by elements such as gameplay, audio etc. and then using quotes to explain the reception to each, but perhaps that's just a stylistic choice. SynergyBlades (talk) 16:57, 9 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The ESRB rating by 1UP on both the separate referenced pages (announcement and review) is, like the release date and other title info, likely pulled from the same database location for the title and then displayed identically on every 1UP page related to the title. As such I'm not certain this proves its rating when first announced as it's likely just an error on the rating in the database entry for the title as a whole, so the wording of the section might want updating. SynergyBlades (talk) 04:41, 11 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Though I personally would appreciate better layout/tidy-up in the reception section (on reflection its scope/length is probably about right compared to the size of the rest of the article's sections), I'd say it's probably ready for listing at the nominations. SynergyBlades (talk) 01:43, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I just passed the review. Good work! -Drilnoth (talk) 21:16, 13 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well done, that was quick. I haven't really worked on getting any others to GA status for a while, might get back to it at some point. SynergyBlades (talk) 01:33, 14 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You could have a bash at Sonic Heroes. It's not the most interesting entry in the series, but I did some initial tidy and sourcing for that, as well as the Reception section, and I reckon the quantity of information available for the game will be similar to the Shadow article. Your request for rollback

After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback can be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback may be removed at any time.

If you no longer want rollback, then contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some information on how to use rollback, you can view this page. I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, just leave me a message if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Happy editing! Sonic Rush

Just scouted around for some development info, don't have time to work them into the article so I thought I'd leave them here for you to peruse.
