Incesticide?

I saw no mention of the album Incesticide anywhere in this article...did I miss it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.61.193.128 (talk) 20:57, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Theater?

I don't beleive that. What's written in that section sounds pretty dumb, and there aren't any refs about it. - 97.102.154.152 (talk) 18:00, 4 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bisexual

He was definitely bi. He said, in an interview, that if he hadn't met Courtney Love, he "would probably have carried on a bisexual lifestyle". It is stated on his NNDB profile: [1]. Even if he ceased sexual activity with males permanently after he met Love, the fact remains that he had been actively bisexual before then, and that he remained bisexual in orientation - Love didn't turn him heterosexual. His bisexuality should be mentioned on the article; bi and LGBT categories should be applied. Werdnawerdna (talk) 02:56, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As oft stated, NNDB is not considered a reliable source and thus cannot be used to support facts in articles or in support of points in discussions. Wildhartlivie (talk) 06:41, 5 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think there should be

so much more stuff commemorating how amazing he was and there should be a mention of how many people are obsessed ewith him and read his journals. he is my hero, I am obsessed with him and i think he deserves a better article than this. the article doesn't even begin to describe him.Irishforever(and lovin' it) 15:05, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia needs to keep everything neutral :-) - The article does have a legacy section that does touch upon how popular he was (here). Hope this helps! Utan Vax (talk) 16:12, 11 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
yea i agree, the Wikipedia job is to just provide you with information, its not supposed to have a bias twards its subject, or else people would not want to read anymore 99.255.18.206 (talk) 23:18, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever reads this, please add drums to Cobain's instruments, per the first bit of this. Thank you 205.200.18.71 (talk) 03:35, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

We tend to leave it to instruments musicians are primarily known for (e.g. Grohl has played piano on previous Foo records, but he's not world-famous for it) ScarianCall me Pat! 07:49, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Poet?

According to Kurt's death report, he was a poet as well as a musician, [2],

Should poet be added to his list of occupations? It also claims his field of work was "Punk rock", so maybe his validates Nirvana also being a punk band? Sir Richardson (talk) 11:27, 16 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of Death

It says that there was no trauma, and that apart from his ears bleeding, he looked fine, but in fact, he shot himself in the head with a shotgun. hi was unrecognizable.[3]2~4~2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.255.18.206 (talk) 23:01, 4 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, that's not true. There were rumours that he was unrecognisable, but this was apparently due to the fact that a photograph showed his driving licence propped up against his body for identification, but this was later claimed to be a coincidence, and that it had just been 'put there' by a detective, with no ID intent. Other reports said that his 'instantly recognisable' face was fully intact. I don't have the source for this, but it is definitely out there somewhere. I don't think the link provided above is at all reliable, it looks to be a fansite. Sky83 (talk) 10:12, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

RESPONSE:

Actually you can search for a scanned copy of "kurt cobain death certificate" and it says "self inflicted shotgun wound" and the other section says "contact perforating shotgun wound to head" Sooooooooo just google that, as it seems every one has a copy these days and you will see you are 100% wrong.

Here's One: Kurt death certificate-mandatory [4] —Preceding unsigned comment added by Voidenter (talkcontribs) 03:14, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You can't possibly make a determination of that nature from the death certificate. Produce a medical examiners report and you have yourself a deal, we'll put some info from that in here, but I think you will find that his face was intact. The back of his head was no doubt a mess, but from witness reports, his face was, for a 72 hours plus corpse, relatively good. For the purposes of the article though, this isn't really a detail that is going to change much. If you can find a report that proves his face was badly messed up, go ahead and report it here, I have absolutely no objections, but you can't base that on a death certificate, you need some kind of autopsy/crime scene report. Sky83 (talk) 09:23, 21 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

His feud with Axl Rose isn't mentioned?

I find that a bit odd, since not only is it mentioned in Axl Rose's article, it even has its own section. If it's notable enough to be mentioned in Rose's article, surely it should notable enough to mention it on Cobain's article? --Crackthewhip775 (talk) 01:23, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably true, it should be mentioned, but then Axl Rose had feuds with everyone at some point or another, he has never been a particularly happy bunny, let's face it. Sky83 (talk) 10:13, 12 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

"Smells Like Grunge Spirit"

To mark 15 years since the death of Kurt Cobain and 7 years since the death of Layne Staley, participants all over the United States listen to Nirvana and Alice In Chains songs all day on April 8 2009 in an event called "Smells Like Grunge Spirit". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.154.161.226 (talk) 19:01, 7 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kurt Cobain Is Not Homosexual!!!!!

Its true that he said he was bisexual until he married Courtney Love until 1992 but he was never homosexual. When he was in High School a friend he met was homosexual he didnt know at first but he noticed that other students looked at him wierd in the hallways since he started hanging out with his new friend and he watch him get picked on a lot he would protect him. One night his friend made a move on him and he was shocked and pushed him away. The days afterwards he wouldn't talk to him after that since it was just plain akward. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.243.116.189 (talk) 23:42, 11 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, Kurt "wasn't" homosexual... so what? 190.47.101.146 (talk) 19:44, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody said he was homosexual. And he never said he actually was bisexual, he said he could be bisexual. Asarelah (talk) 01:40, 16 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're right, he wasn't homosexual, he was bisexual - MrGuy

Bad/Insufficient Pictures

The pictures in this article really don't seem to represent Kurt Cobain fully. There are only 2 pictures in the whole article; one of them is of him as a kid and you can barely see his face in the other. That picture is also used in the Nirvana article and it should be replaced on that article too. I suggest using one of the following photos as the main image:

[5] or [6] or [7]
The last one may need to be cropped a little but otherwise, they would all be suitable. I just think the article of such an influential person should have more pictures, and pictures where you can actually see his face properly. If someone had never heard of Kurt Cobain and they went on this article, they probably wont find out what he looked like even after reading the whole article. --Omarraii (talk) 20:39, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you're sure those pictures aren't copyrighted, which I'm fairly sure they are, then go ahead. Sir Richardson (talk) 21:03, 18 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
