Gigi Morasco is a fictional character on ABC's daytime drama One Life to Live. She has been portrayed by Farah Fath since October 24, 2007.

Storyline

Gigi is first introduced as a waitress at the Bon Jour Café in Paris, Texas who constantly argues with diner owner Moe Stubbs. She has a son named Shane and has difficulty making ends meet. Not realizing that co-worker Viki Davidson is wealthy and is only working as a waitress to temporarily escape her life in Llanview, Pennsylvania, Gigi tells Viki her dreams of becoming rich. Viki tells Gigi that rich people have problems too.

Gigi often tells Shane stories of his father, a Navy SEAL that died heroically serving his country. The more she continues to tell this story, the more it seems that it is not quite true. Because of her troubled past as a single mother, Gigi is eager to help when she meets fugitive Marcie McBain (using the name "Sally Ann"), who is on the run with adopted son Tommy (whom she calls "Billy"). At first Gigi believes that "Sally" is running from an abusive husband, but soon discovers differently when Tommy's father Todd Manning comes to the Bon Jour looking for his son. Todd offers $1 million for information on Marcie's whereabouts; feeling loyalty towards "Sally Ann," Gigi says she had seen them three days previously and that they were heading towards South America.

Gigi continues to help Marcie and gets her a waitressing job at the Bon Jour as "Sally Ann". More of Gigi's mysterious past comes to light when Rex Balsom shows up at the Bon Jour. Gigi and Rex dated during their senior year in high school, but Rex abruptly disappeared in 2002 when he left for Llanview to reunite with his adoptive sister Natalie Buchanan. Gigi clearly has unresolved issues with Rex, but hides them and later refrains from telling him "something" that she feels he needs to know. Rex has come to town searching for Marcie, but Gigi again lies and sends Rex on the wrong trail. Rex also unwittingly buys Marcie's engagement ring from Gigi, which Marcie is anxious to sell for cash.

When Marcie's ring is recognized back in Llanview, Michael and John McBain race back to Paris to confront Gigi. But Todd Manning and renegade FBI agent Lee Ramsey are already there, having taken Gigi and Shane hostage. Ramsey forces Gigi to lure Marcie back to Gigi's apartment before she and Tommy can skip town, and threatens her at gunpoint. Marcie arrives at Gigi's place, but at the last moment Gigi screams for Marcie to run. Ramsey and Todd pursue Marcie, and Gigi and Shane are rescued by the McBain brothers. On January 11 2008, Gigi is arrested for aiding and abetting a fugitive during Marcie's standoff with the police and FBI at the Bon Jour Café. Viki pays Gigi's bail, and the charges are ultimately dropped.

John brings Gigi and Shane to Llanview to testify for Marcie in her trial. Rex's fiancée Adriana Cramer discovers Shane's existence, and suspects that he is Rex's son. Rex refuses to believe it, and Gigi confirms that Shane's father is a deceased Navy SEAL. Gigi is troubled as Rex begins getting closer to Shane. On March 17, 2008, she admits aloud that Rex is Shane's father.

On the day of Rex and Adriana's wedding Gigi stands up and confesses her love to Rex. Adriana responds by punching Gigi. Right before Gigi leaves the wedding, her not-so-dead boyfriend Brody shows up to try to win Gigi and her son Shane back. Rex realizes that Adriana has been lying to him about many things and that she is the one that brought Brody to Lanview just so Gigi would stay away from him. Rex asks for a divorce but he and Adriana decide that it would be better to just spend some time apart, and Adriana heads to Paris.

As Rex and Gigi's feelings for one another continue to grow, Rex gets a warning from Madame Delphina that Bo Buchanan is headed towards danger, with major consequences. Saying goodbye to Gigi, Rex heads to Texas, where he fails to help Bo. The two are struck by lightning, and transported back to 1968. Teaming up with Delphina, Gigi makes her way back into time to rescue Rex before it is too late.

After that ordeal, when they make it back to 2008, they hardly remembered what happened, just thinking they had a crazy dream. Gigi finally tells Rex that Shane is his son, in the meantime Brody kidnaps Shane which leads to Brody shooting Rex. While Rex is in the hospital Gigi tells her son about his true father, which he thinks she is lying to him just so her and Rex can be together. Brody ends up going to Saint Ann's after Rex drops the charges, and Shane slowly accepts Rex as his father while still staying close to Brody. Since then Rex moved in with Gigi and Shane and have begun to start their family life together...

On February 6, 2009, Gigi's sister Stacy begins spying on Rex and Gigi when she spots them in Las Vegas. She finds out that her son, Shane, has Leukemia. When she finds out that Stacy is a bone marrow match, she has to agree to give up Rex for Stacy to save her son. Rex walks in on Gigi in bed with Brody. As much as he finds it hard to believe and can't believe that Gigi is doing this to them, he can do nothing and Gigi unwillingly breaks up with him.

In May 2009, After Shane's transplant appears to be a success, Roxy urges Gigi to tll Rex the truth about Stacy's blackmail. Shane suddnely goes into distress, shane survives the crisis, but Stacey reminds Gigi of the deal she made with God.

In Early June 2009, Schuyler Joplin stuns Gigi with his theory that Stacey managed to switch someone ele's stem cells for hers in an effort to save Shane. On June 29, 2009, Gigi and Rex are reunited and Rex plans on playing Stacy until they find out who the real donor is who saved Shane.
