The Ranjha are a gotra (clan) of Jat, found in the eastern uplands of Sargodha and Gujrat districts, of Punjab, Pakistan. [1] A small number are also found in Jhelum and Gujranwala districts.


History & Origin

Their traditions tells that they are the descendants of the Bhatti Rajputs from Bikaner.[1]

Heer and Ranjha

The tribe has become famous in Punjab, as the hero of the famous legand of Heer Ranjha, Deedo, belonged to this tribe.
