Hi VitasV |
|||
I have nominated for deletion a series of video games categories which you created: see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2009 December 28#Video_games_by_designer, where your contributions would be welcome. --<span style="color:#996600; cursor: not-allowed;">Brown</span>HairedGirl <small>(talk) • (contribs)</small> 01:31, 28 December 2009 (UTC) |

Your user page
"*If you are looking for information on Doctor Who. I recommend that you don't use the Doctor Who story chronology page due to so many people doing unessesary edits and for some reason they wont include alot of Doctor Who stories due to bizzare and idiotic reasons."
I draw your attention to this page here
and if you tell us (ploitely) on the talk page what we are missing, then it may be added.

I still stand by what I say unless you find a way to improve it and that is to add the stuff that is meant to be in there. VitasV 14/9/07
- Once again, a demonsrtration of your belief that only you can have the correct opinion
Well let's take a look at what is not being included and why:
"The video games are missing, the comics are missing and a (f)ew others."(User Page)
video games
- The fact is, that no official source inlcudes them as canon (with the exception of Attack of the Graske, see above section for that), let alone part of the same chronology. There is also the fact the "story" can be played in different ways
- I followed a link to the Mines of Terror Game, where you would "regenerate" if you died.
- Clearly, the number of "regenerations" that happen (if any) depends on the player's actions
- There is also the obvious issue, that after "regenerating", it is the same Doctor - whcih clearly cannot be considered to be part of the same story as the main series.
- So, no include
The comics
- Well, I couldn't see a reason for NOT including them, so I started that section on The talk page. The definitie "no include" statements state that it is almost impossible to reconsile them with canon (I haven't read the comics, so I don't know). If that's correct, then I think it's a good reason not to include them.
- If a "story" doesn't fit into the same basic story-line (such as the companions being different) of the series, then how can it be part of the same chronology?
- There is also the fact (which has also been pointed out) that there is no attempt to bring them into canon by the Books or Audios
- I am aware that they are included by official sources (As I stated on the talk page), but notice that the two definative "don't include" statements were added afterwards
- So, no include
A (f)ew others
- Examples?, When changing from the book/Audio format to the current one, I went through the lists on wiki to check that they were all included. I didn't include the ones yet tot be released (as I couldn't find a source for their placements), but other than that I think I got them all.
- So give some examples and they may be included.

I still stand by what I say. VitasV 16/9/07
- Well, I've explained the reasons given for not inlcuding the material. If, after that, you still hold your belief that only your opinion is correct, then I can't help you. StuartDD ( t • c ) 14:17, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
Frostfire
in regard to this:
Please stop placing Frostfire between The Time Meddler and The Empire of Glass. I'm not sure if you've listened to the audio but the story takes place between The Myth Makers and The Dalek's Master Plan. The story Vicki tells to Cinder is what happened during between The Time Meddler and The Empire of Glass, not what is happening there right now. If you don't agree with what I say then I suggest you listen to it again or buy it if you don't have it.
Do you mean that the placement between "The Time Meddler" and "The Empire of Glass" is a flashback? StuartDD contributions 10:24, 10 October 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply. I spotted the flashback for Fear of the Daleks when I was finding the references, but I must have missed the flashback here. StuartDD contributions 08:08, 11 October 2007 (UTC)

I want to let you know that you need to find verifiable, third-party soucres establishing notability of the article. Otherwise, it's possible that this could be merged or possibly deleted. Hopefully, you can find some so none of that happens. Thank you, MuZemike (talk) 21:16, 9 August 2008 (UTC)
YouTube
Just was watching your videos on YouTube just there, was wondering, how did you manage to get the title sequence without text?
As well as this, where did you get the japanese one? The article is lacking information on this, if you have any more sources on this, it would be great! --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 00:12, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for trying, i kind of figured it would be something like this. What i was wondering though was, how did you remove the titles from the videos? Is there a version of it which exists? --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 22:27, 20 November 2008 (UTC)
RE: TUGS
Unfortunately its a bit more than just thoroughly improving the articles. The problems with Wikias is that they are volatile; as i'm sure you know, anyone can edit them. It would be like using Wikipedia as a source; one day it could be perfect and tell someone everything they want to know, and the next day the page could have been blanked.
This is why even if a wikia is perfect, which i am sure this one is with all the work everyone is putting into it, it still cannot be used as an external link. If the most notable information was actually added to the pages, as opposed to just linking the site, this would be more constructive editing.
Thanks for your help!

Your video
Hey Vitas, long time no speak! Just wondering, do you have a camera phone? If so, would you be interested in taking a picture of your "Munitions"/"Regatta" TUGS VHS? Because i would love to see it, possibly even upload it to Wikipedia. --SteelersFanUK06 ReplyOnMine! 03:06, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
For every category you create, you should specify parent categories to which it belongs. You do this by listing the parents near the bottom of the page, each enclosed in double brackets like so:

Contact me if you have questions about this. Best regards,--Stepheng3 (talk) 00:28, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
The adopted official site
Hello, do you have a reliable source for this claim? If not, it's likely original research, which must be removed. Thanks. —LOL T/C 09:25, 23 March 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Mario (series), but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. --EEMIV (talk) 01:03, 3 September 2009 (UTC)
Regarding the article Mario (series)
I notice that you are currently reverting the reversions of another editor in a potential dispute over content. Could I suggest moving discussion over it's inclusion to the talk page to reach concensus with the community? Thanks, and happy editing. --Taelus (talk) 12:19, 4 September 2009 (UTC)
Tatanga
Your comparison is very poor; Donkey Kong can't be summed up in a single game article because he is the mascot for an incredibly popular series that has spawned dozens of games and nearly 30 years, while Tatanga has had only one notable role. - The New Age Retro Hippie used Ruler! Now, he can figure out the length of things easily. 06:36, 18 September 2009 (UTC)
- VitasV, can you provide links to the Japanese sources you found? We should be able to cite those. BAPACop (converse) 04:04, 21 September 2009 (UTC)
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the Talkback or Tb template.
Speedy deletion nomination of Denny Delk
A tag has been placed on Denny Delk requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. ttonyb (talk) 06:35, 1 November 2009 (UTC)
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Doctor Who and The Warlord, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.millenniumeffect.co.uk/games/85-89.php. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 10:37, 7 November 2009 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Chronology of Star Wars
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Chronology of Star Wars. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Chronology of Star Wars (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:17, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Re:Userboxes
Thank you for the new TUGS userboxes, and, just so you know, I am ZEM from Wikia (in case you didn't read that). :) ZEM talk to me! 17:54, 8 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I may be misreading your message there, but we can't use blurbs from non-web sources i.e. books, video games or anything else without an explicit release under the CC-By-SA (which is rather rare), as they are also protected by copyright. Just FYI :) – Toon 22:18, 10 November 2009 (UTC)
Various external links
Please be careful when linking to IMDB and the like, just because there's a template for it out there doesn't mean that it should be used everywhere. If you check through recent WP:VG archives, you'll find that a very similar site, geared particularly towards games, Mobygames, was within a few steps of being blacklisted: the conclusion drawn from that discussion was that such sites should only be added if there is a strong reason for including them and they include relevant content that isn't appropriate to an encyclopedia but could be useful to the general reader (as stipulated in WP:EL). In the majority of cases, IMDB, Mobygames, and similar sites aren't needed; their situation isn't helped by the fact they are user-generated and thus unreliable anyway. This would apply to both games and characters, but case in point, Elaine Marley's article really doesn't need an IMDB link as all the page does is list what games the character appears in and who voices her: both of which are already dealt with adequately in the article.
On a similar note, there's no need to link to the Monkey Island Wiki twice in one link. Urls in the external links section should be kept to a minimum and completely relevant to the context they are being linked in to avoid confusion, and its redundant to include a second link to the same site in such a fashion anyway: if somone wants the main page of that Wiki, its easy enough to get there through the single provided link. -- Sabre (talk) 13:15, 11 November 2009 (UTC)

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page 4chan has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://twitter.com/4chan (matching the regex rule \btwitter\.com\b). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 08:08, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
Video games by designer
Hi VitasV
I have nominated for deletion a series of video games categories which you created: see Wikipedia:Categories for discussion/Log/2009 December 28#Video_games_by_designer, where your contributions would be welcome. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 01:31, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
