Joaquin Murieta

Hi I am new to Wikipedia. I posted some info about Joaquin Murieta and it looks like you took it off. Was it taken off because it was missing info or ??? As this is my first time using this site. I dont know if I did things right witht he posting. I think that its time for that info to be heard and known.

If there is sonthing difernt I need to do to get it on the site, can you please let me know of help me out. Thank you very much for your time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitedozer (talkcontribs) 18:25, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

First, look at the grammar and style of writing you used on my talkpage. Then, please read WP:FIRST and WP:RS. Finally, several other editors, to include one admin I think, have visited the article after me. If they had felt your work notable, they would have reverted me. No, they have proceeded to cleanup the article further. ----moreno oso (talk) 18:46, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, Do I need to reword it? And do I need a notable source? This is just an old family story. If you were to post it how would you pst it. Rememeber I am new to all this. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Whitedozer (talkcontribs) 19:04, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's not much if anything that could be done for it. Please read the wikilinked articles I cited above. Basically, when you feel that you understand WP:BEFORE, you will have a good understanding of how to edit here on Wikipedia. Then, take a full look at Juan José Carbó to see how I built this article in my userspace and then transferred it to mainspace once I knew the article had notability. If you want to see how I saved one, please see The Bandit Queen history. Thumb through the history from left to right until you see the full article as it now exists. This will show you how reliable sourced edits are done. ----moreno oso (talk)
Additionally, please sign all your work with four tildes: ~~~~. ----moreno oso (talk) 19:14, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rachel Starr

Without explanation, you restored, after I deleted it, the false claim that Starr had won an AVN award. AVN doesn't even give an award of that name, and Starr wasn't even nominated for the relevant AVN award. I'm curious as to why you would do this. Hullaballoo Wolfowitz (talk) 02:14, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There was an edit conflict and I restored primarily what the original editor put into the article with the improvements as per my edit summary.----moreno oso (talk) 04:44, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

US Gold Cup Squad

I've finally managed to find something which I failed to earlier. I could easily find pages refering to the squad being made up of MLS players, but took longer to find one saying it was weaker (which could be argued is a POV). Bevo74 (talk) 13:37, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds like you're getting citations for the cite requests you asked for - which is a good thing. It's a matter of looking for good searches (please see my userpage for my YTrikc_search method to get citations/Google news archived news print. Then, it's a matter of wordsmithing the source to provide a POV free statement that can be cited. Good luck. ----moreno oso (talk) 13:43, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In use template means one editor - an edit conflict just took place

Please respect the template. I am editting the article and need time between my edits. When I am done, other editors can edit the article. ----moreno oso (talk) 14:59, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This editor just reverted again. He's edit-warring claiming a BLP violation when there is none. ----moreno oso (talk) 15:43, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Would you believe I also passed a stone last night? I think the frequent need to go alienated my urethra. About three years ago I had some stones and was passing regularly. I got rid off them mostly by changing my diet but every so often one will come to pass. Now I know why one of my buddies used to call them "flaming death" because they burn when they travel the last ten inches. Okay, 9.5. . .----moreno oso (talk) 10:24, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Good to know - I'll bear it in mind, thanks. (And maybe turn vegetarian, or something...) --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 17:09, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Bears naturally love cranberries in the wild. You humans should drink it in the bottle form. What's funny is that most labels will say CB is a natural source of calcium but yet it eats away at calcium. Lemonade is supposed to be the next best thing. When I break into a picnic basket and find the grape variety in a bottle, I'm very happy. ----moreno oso (talk) 17:15, 19 June 2010 (UTC)C[reply]
I drink lots of cranberry juice doctor's orders because of some ongoing problems with my urinary system and I get the cranberry juice in the bottle also. Cranberries is one of Wisconsin's cash crops. I hope you are doing well-Thank you-RFD (talk) 18:34, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Morenooso, I recently eliminated the Political Involvement section in Monsiváis's article because it really was just a plug that appears in numerous articles in Wikipedia, and with minor relevance to Monsiváis. I would recommend moving the Carlos_Monsiváis#Awards and Carlos_Monsiváis#Later_life_and_death sections up higher in the article, before the bibliography. Thanks!--Lawrlafo (talk) 22:04, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I feel differently. The way I am editting the article is standard. ----moreno oso (talk) 22:07, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for deleting after i reworked it. I have been on this article for a while. I reviewed back when and decided he didn't have many inline citations and should stay. ----moreno oso (talk) 22:12, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't read the whole notice atop the article, so I made a couple of minor edits. Hope you're forgiving! I saw the link to the article here and got curious, noticed a few small things, and fixed them (I hope). SamEV (talk) 04:46, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Luckily, I had dropped out to look at Adventura. Normally, it's not a good idea to edit an "In use" article. Lots of times when I'm doing translations like this, I may be "grooming"/building citations, checking wikilinks, etc. Edit conflicts are not good or welcome especially if I doing a wireless connection as the system (either Wikipedia or mine - I tend to believe Wikipedia and I can stay in contact with Yahoo and update manually/automatically without loss of data sessions). I think other users would feel the same. ----moreno oso (talk) 14:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Got it.
Add content? Mm, I don't know about that. For the very most part I copyedit and undo vandalism. I'll copyedit the article, though; in the process, I might make some additions, but I can't promise it. I'll keep it watchlisted to help you guard it against vandalism, too.
Did you really mean ([1]) "It's about 200k above the minimum", or 20k? SamEV (talk) 19:54, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It's about 200kb which is pretty close. ----moreno oso (talk) 19:58, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK. No probs. SamEV (talk) 21:40, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, Brownbear!

There's an edit request at that page. It seems legitimate, but the requester provided no reference. Would you take a look, please? SamEV (talk) 04:32, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just answered it. I would recommend providing sources showing who their label from verifiable third-party sources. ----moreno oso (talk) 04:47, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Man, you're good. Thanks! (And just in case you missed it due to cross-posting, see my explanation re: Monsivais, just above). SamEV (talk) 04:52, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Already did. The article led me to believe both as the subject worked as a film critic during the Golden Age of Mexican cinema and most likely knew both. The people he hung with ala Frida, who he wrote an autobiography on, is ecletic at the least and mind blowing at ground speed zero. He even compared himself to Ringo Starr. ----moreno oso (talk) 04:56, 20 June 2010 (UTC)+[reply]
Very well. In light of that, maybe you should consider modifying the content to "both of whom admired his work". SamEV (talk) 05:01, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I plan on putting my comment above your most recent one on its talkpage and leave the sentence as is. It is gramatically correct the way it is. If you have other questions please post here. ----moreno oso (talk) 05:07, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Italy - New Zealand

Sacramento editing.

The IP address was me. I forgot to log in. Sorry! The Phantomnaut (talk) 21:33, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'd recommend you remove your entry from Sacramento, California. Your band, Trash Talk (band), is non-notable and that was an easy spot. Even the bot reversed you as an anon IP. ----moreno oso (talk) 21:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Making such a rapid post after the anon IP kind of suggested a Deathwish Inc.‎. ----moreno oso (talk) 21:52, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Tentacles (novel)‎ - Cryptid Hunters‎

Tentacles (novel)‎ - Cryptid Hunters‎ were both closed as Keep. I wonder who forecast that and if an anon IP would to make the assertion it did that I refused to acknowledge that they weren't notable? ----moreno oso (talk) 00:24, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Wonder if I will get away with this one

Edit War

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Katie Couric. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice.98.198.136.216 (talk) 04:54, 21 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
