I've reformatted the list to conform with Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lists of works) (except with the year becoming subheadings instead); hopefully it's all there and correct, though I'm pretty sure. If anyone finds other such lists with different formatting, please help reformat them! Highwind888 (talk) 03:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)

Why a stub?

Firstly one might question why there is a stub. This is because the article itself is two lines and just because there is a lot of roles/songs listed doesn't make it any less of a stub. I also don't understand the songs section so I put it at the bottom... they are notable songs maybe but... did they all chart while others didn't? Usually == is used for seection headings... and there was no reason for so much bold. So, I hope it looks cleaner to everyone. gren グレン 22:01, 30 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Number of albums

 • 水たまりに映るセカイ (Mizutamari ni Utsuru Sekai)
 • 黒猫と月気球をめぐる冒険 (Kuroneko to Tsuki Kikyū o Meguru Bōken)
 • ほっ? (Ho?: Horie Yui Character Best Album)
 • sky (2003)
 • 楽園 (Rakuen)
 • 嘘つきアリスとくじら号をめぐる冒険 (Uso Tsuki Alice to Kujira go wo Meguru Boken)

As far as I know, that makes five since ほっ? is a character album. Why is it listed as six? Jack Leaf 13:39, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

ほっ? is a Yui Horie album made up of different character songs. It was marketed by Star Child/King as a Yui Horie album, not an anime soundtrack. --CJ Marsicano 14:57, 4 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but it is still a character album and is consisted entirely of anime songs. Also, the official Yui Horie Starchild site states that 嘘つきアリスとくじら号をめぐる冒険 is the fifth album, so I believe Wikipedia should also say so. Jack Leaf 04:09, 5 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Radio show

This article should have some information on the radio show she presents/presented weekly:

堀江由比の天使のたまご (Horie Yui no Tenshi no Tamago) JeroenHoek 14:58, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Notable Songs

What is the function of the notable songs section? Why are those songs notable? JeroenHoek 15:01, 13 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know who made the list, but those all are songs that have gained fame through the anime in question. Jack Leaf 00:09, 14 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Denoting Lead Roles

(Subjective as it is to actually define lead role...) is it alright to leave Tohru Honda(Fruits Basket) and Ayu Tateishi(Ultra Maniac) "un-asterisked"? Just a question for the original poster, I might take it upon myself to change it otherwise.

Also, does putting an asterisk in front of a name mess up the link? Lailaiboy 04:08, 29 May 2006 (UTC)lailaiboy[reply]

Trivia

From her bio, "She disliked math and English, but enjoyed Japanese, so being an actor by craft didn't sound that bad, either." From trivia, "Liked to study Japanese, but didn't really care for English or P.E" The two seems a bit inconsistant. Maybe if it said she didn't care for English, P.E. or math, or something? --Wirbelwind 15:32, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

About the Kokoro Harete... single

Let me clarify. The kanji 夜 can be read as both "yoru" and "yo". In this case, the jacket[1] indicates that it should be read as "yo" (although it does mispell "kokoro" as "cocolo"...). (edit: whoops, forgot to sign) --Raica 07:26, 10 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

First successful role

"She debuted in 1997 in a video game Voice Fantasia. For a long time, she was very unnoticed and got only minor roles in various animes. She got the leading role of Haruka in Kurogane Communication, but the series never was a big hit. It wasn't until the year 2000 when she got the role of Naru Narusegawa in Love Hina that she gained fame."

No, she first voiced Multi in To Heart, the resulting popularity of which led to her landing the role of Naru... am I wrong? Lailaiboy 14:12, 21 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Photo

I see from page history that this article used to include Image:Hocchan.jpg but that it was deleted. Having a photo shot is certainly within fair use, no? Maybe someone can reupload, unless I'm missing something. Thanks. —Tokek 13:28, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yui Horie leaves Arts Vision?

It seems following from the Arts Vision scandel when president of the company, Matsuda Sakumi, was arrested over sex assault charges on some teenage aspiring seiyu, Yui Horie doesn't seem to be employed by Arts Vision anymore as her name doesn't show up on Arts Vision website which was down for quite some time. Does this need to be included? Sera404 15:11, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

 • Apparently, she has gone freelance according to the Arts Vision JAWP article. Additionally, her JAWP article has gone through periods of protection(current) or semi-protection due to the sensitive and controversial nature of the scandal. Additionally, the respective JAWP articles for Sakumi Matsuda, Arts Vision, and I'm Enterprise(sister agency to Arts Vision, also once headed by Matsuda)were unsuccesfully targeted for deletion(noms likely driven by WP:POINT/WP:IDONTLIKEIT and/or vandalism);and those articles have been intermittently gone through periods of protection or semi-protection. Rather than update this artcle outright, I've tagged it as outdated pending further opinions... Ranma9617 01:54, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've updated the article and removed the tag. ···日本穣? · Talk to Nihonjoe 03:14, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reformatting of "Voice acting roles" list

I've reformatted the list to conform with Wikipedia:Manual of Style (lists of works) (except with the year becoming subheadings instead); hopefully it's all there and correct, though I'm pretty sure. If anyone finds other such lists with different formatting, please help reformat them! Highwind888 (talk) 03:33, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Whoever it is that keeps adding his own private Spanish forum with no relevance at all to the External Links should really re-think his plan to vandalize this Wikipedia page. Last edit that added it even broke one of the other, legitimate links. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.245.127.22 (talk) 13:07, 16 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
