Dated cleanup tags

Hi, thanks for your message, SmackBot does not generally add tags, but merely dates those that are already there. Regards, Rich Farmbrough, 12:28 30 January 2009 (UTC).

Spirited Away language things

I believe the infobox should stay focussed on the Japanese version, regardless of whether the English version is discussed on the page or not. The infobox is meant to be basic data around the film, and revolves around the original version produced. It's only meant to include the list of the very main cast. For some films that would only be one or two names. The dub is significant, with the money and the names poured into it and the fact that Disney produced it, but that data is meant to stick to the original version nonetheless; the dub is still a sidenote to that version, which is brought all over the world, at the end of the day. So the dub information is worth listing in the article, but is not important enough to go in the infobox. At the end of the day, it's still a dub of the original film. Also, if the dub cast should be listed in the infobox, then shouldn't the dub director, producer and writer be also listed alongside their Japanese counterparts? Here's an example of how the infobox should look. This article is about both the Japanese and English versions of the film, but look at the infobox. --Krevans (talk) 02:07, 27 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Note

Hello, I wanted to let you know that your name came up in a discussion at the Administrators' Noticeboard. —BMRR (talk) 20:54, 1 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I appreciate the help in getting manga infoboxes updated to use the proper demographics link. One note, though, please make sure to also include italics (i.e. Shōjo rather than Shōjo). Thanks :) -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 13:16, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Just so you know, the articles do not have a capitalized "Manga" in their titles. I see you're adding in links to Shōnen Manga which creates an unnecessary redirect to the proper Shōnen manga, and that goes for Seinen manga, Shōjo manga, etc. Please use the correct format.-- 04:24, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Slow-starting Atlantic hurricane seasons

The Atlantic hurricane seasons of 1987 and 1988 and 1992 and 2000 and 2004 all started in August but not this late in August...so the 1984 reference is a far more impressive point to make than the June/July thing. Your 2009 AHS article edits

Hi, i've been noticing your edits, and most of them are great. I'm a member of WP:WPTC, which you might want to join, if you haven't already. I want to point out some minor things though. First, update everything, not just the season effects table. Update the the Infobox hurricane active, and update all the times, location, etc. Second, please don't cite anything in the season effects table. Just put it in the storm section or the main storm article. Third, your edit to the 09 AHS' talk page. A Subtropical Storm will count as a named storm even if it wasn't named back in the day, and there are more experienced editors and some people know Tropical cyclones better so don't think you're smarter. Please don't take offence in what I have said. Well, good luck editing :). Darren23 (Contribs) 14:59, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, could you remove the cite, I'm using an iPod which makes it hard to edit this page and harder to remove citations. Thanks. Darren23 (Contribs) 15:05, 17 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, you have been one of a number of regular editors at the above article. I was its Good Article reviewer a few months back. In response to a recent proposal to split the article, I suggested it be edited down to a more manageable size and better readability rather than focussing on the split. I suggested the article was not particularly readable in its current form, and suffered from recentism amongst other things. I have just undertaken an edit attempting to implement my suggestion, in the hope that others might have a look and decide it is now in better shape. I hope you will agree. I am happy to discuss on the talk page obviously. hamiltonstone (talk) 12:56, 20 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Help w/ U.S. marijuana maps

Hi there! I notice you frequently contribute to and discuss the same-sex marriage map of the United States. I am continually impressed with how up-to-date that map remains, and how much activity the talk page receives. I am finding it difficult to keep the three U.S. maps relating to marijuana found here up to date, so I was wondering if you might take a look and perhaps even add the images to your watchlist. I tried updating this one over at Commons, but the image has not updated yet (see NJ here). I am not sure if you have an interest in the legal status of cannabis or not, but I could sure use some help with keep the maps current. If interested, take a look! Thanks! --Another Believer (Talk) 18:52, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Kkid87, A rule on wikipedia is to DON'T delete content which make sense. Instead, we are encouraged to CHECK IT, SOURCE IT. You have access to Google to check any affirmations (look for the citation, or for the keywords), and to find the source (webpage). By example : Googlesearch: "Dear citizens, You have been deceived and foreign media to do their work. If you repeat this action, you will be punished under Islamic law" provide a link which confirm the fact in English, and provide an Iranian source. The unsourced affirmation was true.

Unsourced sentence need Google CHECKING. Good continuation :] Yug (talk) 07:26, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Response

Yes I have tried searching on many search engines including google, bing and yahoo and they have no results. I am not going to bother asking a question on Yahoo! Answers because they don't know what the heck Kodomo no Jikan is to begin with. Interestingly enough, I searched the Japanese Wikipedia and we seem to have more information on Kodomo no Jikan than even the Japanese one! I am supposing even more than all the foreign Wikipedia's combined! I guess I will try to ask on Japan's Yahoo answers... --秋ねこ-AutumnCat-秋ねこ (talk) 18:37, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you understand Japanese you can also try the kodomo no jikan fanbook. [1] I wish you luck with your answer, I am a fan of the series too, a shame it couldnt be brought to the USA =p. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 23:10, 20 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Current Events Portal

Why won't you let the changes remain for now? People who have opposed before have come around to the proposal. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 20:01, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A proposal is something that is talked about not put into effect until everyone agrees. I see problems with this as I feel there could be arguements on what should go into what cat, there wont be enough current events to fill the cats and that a current event could belong to more than one Cat. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 20:07, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
In this case, I think we need to try out the changes. Trial runs exist everywhere, why not here? I will admit that we need to have a talk on what goes into what cats, but I refuse to believe that the old system of not sorting the news is better than the current proposal. Like it or not, Wikipedia is a news aggregator of sorts. We have a responsibility to keep things organized here. I am willing to work with you on this matter. I really don't want to work against you. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 20:11, 7 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the input. As a rule of thumb, I tend to separate Arts and Entertainment from Sports. Just what I am used to since I was little, that's all. Also, do you think a "Major Events" category is warranted, or do you think we can do away with that? I am kind of split on this issue. Kiteinthewind Leave a message! 21:07, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I do not think a major events cat will work as there would have to be a criteria on what is major enough to be included. I also agree with PFHLai's reasoning that everything on current events should be major or else it would not be there in the first place. Knowledgekid87 (talk) 21:13, 12 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BLP Prods

Just to inform you that BLP Prods cannot be removed from a BLP until there is at least one citation. There is currently no citations on Natsuko Asō. —Farix (t | c) 01:46, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

BLPprod clarification

Just a clarification BLPprod can only be removed if there is a least a source. However in case of special circumstances like dispute around around the Reliability of the added source, the article should be send to AfD. In other words source it or send it to AfD but please don't just remove the tag hopping that someone will send it to AfD. --KrebMarkt (talk) 06:33, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Okay thank you and the farix for telling me, I will know that for the future. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:24, 14 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, Knowledgekid87

Perhaps its time you are reminded that Wikipedia is not a voting booth. If you have nothing better than saying "per nom", don't say it at all. Fleet Command (talk) 06:59, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Battle of Mogadishu (2010)

I see that you swapped the source that was already present out for the number of kills in the Battle of Mogadishu (2010). Can I ask why that was, especially because the number of kills went from 140 to '70+'? I realise that you changed sources to the English-language Las Vegas Sun, but why do you believe it to be more notable than the Afrique Actu? If you could respond on the article's talk page in order to address this issue, I would appreciate it! Thurinym (talk) 16:12, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hey -- you think maybe it's a coincidence that I just criticized you for making a layout with whitespace in it, and now a brand new editor with no history called "I hate whitespace" is going around hitting up articles, including some I just edited, removing blank lines which were inserted to help the visual look of a page? Perhaps I shoudl file an SPI and see if there's a connection?
