I'm thinking about changing the plot summary for ''Ark Demon'' and turning it into ''Ark Angel''. I tried searching for Ark DEMON online thinking that may have been the title that was released in a different country, but couldn't find anything other than the Ark ANGEL title I'm already familiar with. Otherwise, I'd like to mention somewhere in there that the title released in the U.S. was ''Ark Angel''. Any objections? Things you can do

Plot Summary?

Isn't the current plot summary only taken from Stormbreaker? Shouldn't the plot summary be from the whole Alex Rider series, instead of just Stormbreaker? Pickledonna (talk) 01:17, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

    • Not really, because all you need to know about it is what the beginning is like to understand what the series is like. Now if you were editing a separate article on an individual book, than maybe... Pumanike 20:09, 10 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Strange Grammar

"Alex is frequently faints, is knocked unconscious, or is captured." this sentence doesnt make any sense. i thought it's simply better to remove it from the overview. Tca achintya (talk) 15:16, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it was added by an IP. Not that relevant, I know. I tried to fix the actual grammar of it, but...wait. Oh crap, I messed that up. I'm usually pretty good with grammatical issues. Never mind. Anyway, I was too timid to remove it myself. Go ahead and take it out. I see you've done so already. sdhbcsdcds, Lord Spongefrog, (I am the Czar of all Russias!) 15:27, 28 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Improvement?

Does anyone want to contribute some time to help this article grow? For a popular series of novels, the article, as it was, was a real mess. I've tried to start from the beginning, taking some tips from the Harry Potter article. Not only is the main article clearly in need of some attention, the seperate novel articles (and the film one) are in some need of a clean-up. Hopefully someone will agree and this article with the others can be expanded and improved. -- Britishagent 10:25, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Alexriderlogo.jpg

Image:Alexriderlogo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:59, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

How much of this is accurate?

I noticed that the Series section of this article has numerous items, ranging from the believable (and properly linked) to the absurd and even unencyclopedic. Maybe someone who knows more about it than I do (which isn't saying very much, I only came upon this article while following some vandalism and have no idea what it's about) should have a look at that section and remove anything that isn't strictly true. - green_meklar 02:05, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion

Someone has tagged this article for deletion. I was about to remove the tag, but then found that there is another article about this subject at Alex Rider (character). I think it's probably best to let this page get deleted and then move Alex Rider (character) here.--Michig (talk) 22:38, 26 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is a series of books, not a character. WEBURIEDOURSECRETSINTHEGARDENplay it cool. 19:23, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the series is called Alex Rider too, and Alex Rider (character) is too long to add to this article. ~ Bella Swan 20:28, 18 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I agree. Would you merge the Harry Potter character article in with the series? I think not!Kangaroosrule (talk) 02:54, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Eight book

Wasn't there an eight book listed with a releasedate on this page? Something about that assassin's childhood? Dracoster (talk) 00:30, 14 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I went to a book signing and heard him say that he will be creating a book about Yassin's childhood, but there really isn't any reliable info anywhere from the author that says the book is definitly coming out, so we can't really put it on Wikipedia. ~ Bella Swan 12:15, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anthony Horowritz said in a interview that he is writing a eight book called "Crocidile Tears" he also said the after Crocidile Tears he will write two more. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.109.78.184 (talk) 10:50, 31 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion

I deleted the story and characters sections of this article as they are completely irrelevent. They should go in the stormbreaker and Alex rider articles respectively. Kangaroosrule (talk) 02:51, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This entire entry should be deleted. There is already a much more comprehensive article on Alex Rider. This page has also been hacked and much of the information supplied on this page is incorrect. —Preceding unsigned comment added by ImImaginary (talkcontribs) 20:00, 28 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As an Alex Rider fan, think that all other alex rider pages should be hyperlinked to this one so it is easy to acess information on alex rider. For all you grownups out there who thought my addition to HIVE was unessecary and too opinion oriented... well my statement was that the 3rd, 4th and 5th books weren't published in the US yet. It took FOREVER to learn HTML and to hyperlink things and how to tag... well my feelings were hurt. Anyway, I also think that the resease date for the 8th alex r. book might be incorrect because I haven't heard any advertising for "Cocodile Tears" . I'm thinking that the release date might be for the UK and not any other country. Just an opinion... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stewieluvsulotz (talkcontribs) 23:37, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Crocodile Tears release date comes from the Australian Penguin Books (or so I remember). It's referenced in the articles. Its all we have for now, might as well include it until better information becomes available. Spongefrog, (talk to me, or else) 10:00, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And by the way, there are links to this article in the lead sections of all the Alex Rider articles. Spongefrog, (talk to me, or else) 10:20, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ninth book

The author says that he will write a ninth book after Yassen in the same interview in which he names the eight book. I have added it to the list, with the same ref. as Yassen. Dracoster (talk) 20:41, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, when I clicked on the ref for the different book and got confused. My bad. :) ~ Bella Swan? 20:54, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

General Tidy Up

I thought I'd be BOLD and make a couple of changes to the first paragraph of this page, as it had some conflicting information regarding the author and the novel series name, after a quick google I think I've sorted it out. Rfsjim (talk) 06:58, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

False/confusing sentence

The article states:

"The first book opens with a 14-year-old orphan Alex Rider learning that his guardian and uncle, Ian Rider, has died in a car accident by former MI6 agent Yassen Gregorovich."

How can someone die in a car accident "by someone"? And besides, Yassen was never an MI6 agent! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.100.199.160 (talk) 17:23, 1 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fix it then! Spongefrog (talk) 19:26, 1 June 2009 (UTC) Well its too late now, I know.[reply]

Endurance Point

Okay, please don't add this to the list of books. This is almost entirely speculation, or misinterpritation of the facts. It seems the rumours are sprouting from [1] blog thing. If you read it carefully, you'll see Endurance Point was a rejected title for Crocodile Tears. It has been confirmed there's a ninth novel then Yassen, for a total of ten novels. These two things have been confused. While it is possible that Endurance Point could be a potential title, it has in no way been confirmed. So don't add it! Lord Spongefrog, (Talk to me, or I'll eat your liver!) 18:53, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About an hour ago, Horowitz announced the new title on Saturday Live on Radio 4. I didn't 100% catch it but I think it was Scorpio Rising (May have been Scorpia Rising). He said it will be released at "Christmas I hope", and will be set in Eygpt. Once the show is over, it will appear on listen again and I will check. 94.173.32.156 (talk) 09:42, 20 March 2010 (UTC) B[reply]

Really Messy Article

This article was horribly convuluted and unstructured. The 'Characters' section can just exist exclusively on the dedicated article page; the part in this article was uninformative and unprofessional. I've cleaned up the 'Overview' but it still isn't perfect, and I'd love it if someone fixed it up! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.220.166.129 (talk) 15:11, 19 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I see you aren't a user so you obviously don't understand that we don't have time to fix your mistakes! Pumanike 20:08, 6 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Year

At the end of Crocodile Tears, Jack tells Alex that it's "Thursday February 13." The year that Feb. 13 fell on a Thursday was 2003. And it's been stated that it's been almost a whole year since MI6 recruited Alex, so the timespan is then 2002-2003 (of note is Alex read about the Jawada incident at the beginning of Crocodile Tears when he was a ballboy in Skeleton Key, meaning that Desmond McCain was already within the canon long before he was named and described). It has to be 2003, because Sabina uses an iPod at the beginning of the novel and the classic didn't come out until 2001. The question now is...that WP:NOR or what? hbdragon88 (talk) 05:30, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Horowitz obviously does not follow this time period, because in that same conversation Alex mentions wanting to buy Assassin's Creed on the PlayStation, which did not come out until 2007. hbdragon88 (talk) 02:53, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
