WWE Backlash is an annual WWE event, which started in 1999. As of 2004, Backlash became a RAW exclusive pay-per-view event. Backlash will often feature a rematch from WrestleMania, or a match based on events that took place at WrestleMania.

Triple H is the only wrestler to have competed at every Backlash event. He has a win-loss record of 3-4 to date.

This event was held on April 25, 1999 at the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island. This was the last WWF PPV with the "In Your House" banner.

2006

The 2006 edition of WWE Backlash is set to take place on April 30, 2006 at the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

This will be the first-ever pay-per-view event held in Lexington, only the fourth pay-per-view event held in Kentucky (In Your House 6, In Your House 17, Judgment Day 2000, all in Louisville), and the first televised event held in Lexington since the September 4, 2000 edition of RAW is WAR The theme song is "Snap Ya Fingers" by Lil Jon.
