If you wanted to request an article, follow this link. Don't request it on this page. |
Bloomington Community Orchard
I added the article for Bloomington Community Orchard, but it is only a stub at the current time.
reaction injection molding
i made the reaction injection molding article, its not very indepth yet ~~Lylegordon
Hospital Bed
I wrote a blog about Hospital Beds and wanted to source the Wikki but there isn't an article on Hospital beds. I wanted to source the bed measurements(80"x35") Since I'm writing the blog for work I can't stop to write an article for Wikki, but if someone else wants to, they are welcome to use my blog as a starting point. (I also don't understand Wikki Coding) ~~Reggie T http://vitalitymedical.wordpress.com/ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.89.245.137 (talk) 20:49, 23 September 2008 (UTC)
Hex Inverter
Re: Electronics --> Components --> Hex Inverter request. A Hex Inverter simply means six inverters on an integrated circuit e.g. 7404 device. Inverter (logic gate) already exists and should explain the circuit, so will add it as a redirect. Dl2000 02:10, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
The Invention of Paper
There is a request under the Education section for an article on "The Invention of Paper;" however, the paper article covers the history of paper quite nicely, so perhaps this request should be removed. -Matatigre36 03:28, 22 February 2006 (UTC)
oncology
That oncology dump is ridiculous. Is there really something notable and encyclopedic to be said about every single one of those? I thought this request page was for items that someone very specifically wants, not just generally thinks should be around.
It'd be like if I dumped a list of every book written in 1930's.
Sample Turing Programs
Turing programming language or Turing Machine? There already seems to be both. --KSnortum 05:38, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Split
Why is it that things like music and mathematics get their own pages, while engineering gets lumped together with food? I think that the sections on "Communication", "Engineering", "Computer science bla bla", "Technology and tools", "Rockets", and "Transport" should be pulled into a new Technology page. --Smack (talk) 19:00, 6 August 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. Any objections? Strawberry Island 03:48, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
blood shift
I took a whack at blood shift; welcome edits. Ikkyu2 15:26, 30 August 2005 (UTC)
No Valley theorem
This page is listed under computer science: No Valley theorem. Google has never heard of it. ([1]) Should I just delete it from the page?
-- Google has heard of the "valley theorem", though. Maybe this is what is meant? --84.9.67.235 18:30, 6 November 2005 (UTC)
Ornithropter
This is requested under Air travel, but is presumably a typo for Ornithopter for which there is already an entry. Should I simply delete 'Ornithropter'? Treesmill 20:41, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
Air travel
IMO the title of this section should be aviation, since Air travel implies people travelling by air. Treesmill 20:41, 6 October 2005 (UTC)
- I agree. Any objections? Strawberry Island 03:46, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
Wireless switch
Under Computer Science, Computing and Internet:
Wireless Switch ( Isnt this a Wireless access point ? I find it hard to see radio waves being "switched". )
Although they're similar to access points, wireless switches do exist. A quick Google ([2]) confirms this. However, I'm not sure an entire article would be useful- perhaps an expansion of the article on regular networking switches instead.

Converting to bullet list
I am converting this page into a bulleted list. Right now, with so many red links and all, it's virtually impossible to read. Bullets will also facilitate adding information, varient spellings, etc. I'll do it section by section, to minimize edit conflicts. -Rholton 20:35, 7 December 2005 (UTC)
This has the unfortunate effect of causing the page to be extremely long and harder to wade through. Can't you find some sort of compromise?
Sterile dock
What exactly does the verb-phrase Sterile dock mean? It is often used in connection with needles. Sterile dock or sterile docking refers to the process of bonding two tubes or lines (mostly plastic tubing) together without compromising the sterility of the internal parts of the tubing. Often used in blood banking industry where tubing from different bags are required to be connected without exposing the ends to be joined together to the atmosphere.
I think this is supposed to be "Isometric projection", which already exists. Isomorphic is some kind of Star Trek thing, according to Google.
Having read Isomorphism (as a non-mathematician) I'm not so sure - think it should be kept as Isomorphic Projection but confirmed by a number head. --Mcginnly | Natter 15:05, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Bianary Fission
The request for "Bianary Fission" appears to be a misspelling of binary fission. --zandperl 23:32, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Architecture, buildings, city planning and public space
Wikipedia:WikiProject Architecture has a new daughter project called Wikipedia:WikiProject Urban studies and planning. Would it be possible to split the Architecture, buildings, city planning and public space Heading into 2 more manageable headings?:-
- Architecture, Architects, buildings & structures
- Urban studies and planning, public space
--Mcginnly | Natter 15:01, 31 July 2006 (UTC)
Health Science
I removed the following requests:
- Adstringents, because it looks like it should be either astringents or possibly adstringens, the species name of several plants (the meaning of the term is at Dictionary of Botanical Epithets).
- Soyabean juice - impact on hormones-- I think what the person wanted is already at Soy#Potential problems with soy
- Foley catherter-- misspelling of Foley catheter
- Neurodermitis Disease affecting the skin-- misspelling of Neurodermatitis
- Sasbarilla-- I assume this is a misspelling of Sarsaparilla, which is used in homeopathic medicine
I created redirects for the last 3. --Galaxiaad 17:29, 3 August 2006 (UTC)
TROPHY Active Protection System
I have deleted
- Trophy Active Defense System - New Israeli RPG defense system?
An article with the title already exists TROPHY Active Protection System
- In future, create a redirect from the requested title before you move it, as I have now done. This makes the article easier to find – Qxz 12:49, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
VOIP Rates Comparison
I don't think this is a good topic to have on Wikipedia. Not only that but market fluctuations will make it constantly inaccurate. --Kingofslackrs (Talk Edits) 05:36, 8 March 2007 (UTC)
Although I can't find an explicit prohibition against it, my gut instinct tells me that such a comparison article would be in violation of WP:NOT. Surely your Google-fu can help you find user comparisons and comments for each service. -- Tckma 12:40, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
Duplicate content: food and drink sections. Merge?
There appears to be two food and drink sections of requested articles: one here, and one here. Should these two sections be merged? If so, I'm in favor of them getting included at culture and fine arts and not here. Eliz81(talk)(contribs) 17:38, 31 July 2007 (UTC)
Clarification of content: requests for articles on people who are engineers
suggest to add subsections to Engineering subsections for article requests on people who are engineering ie a subsection of chemical engineering for article requests about chemical engineers. or electrical etc.photodude (talk) 15:11, 8 March 2008 (UTC)
Section needed for Hydrogen Power/Hydrogen Fuel technology
I would like to request an article for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gerald_Schaflander Gerald Schaflander was a man in the 70's who designed and built cars which ran on Hydrogen technology, there was no gas whatsoever required. Jack Nicholson owned one of the vehicles which drove only on Hydrogen. There are many articles on the internet about it, videos on youtube of the event with Jack Nicholson driving it, but there is not yet an article about Gerald on Wikipedia.71.112.222.247 (talk) 07:06, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
Request Page for RioVolt
I would like to request a page for the RioVolt mp3/CD player made by the Rio company in 1997. I've never made a wikipedia article before, so I don't feel comfortable making the page myself. But the RioVolt was a landmark mp3 player of the time and represents an important step in the evolution of mp3 players we have today. I can supply pictures if they are needed, as I still have one in working condition. There are many other articles on Rio brand players, including a link to the RioVolt on the company page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.186.29.210 (talk) 13:06, 8 August 2008 (UTC)
InTru3D
I made a redirect to Intel Corporation for the InTru3D article.. I dont feel there is enough information yet to create an article yet. riffic (talk) 05:07, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
accelerating anodes
i wanted to request a page on accelerating anodes but cudnt figure out how to do it,
so if anyone's reading this, please make a page.. thanks..
BLP issues with some requests
I've begun to cull through the Crime requests, adding sources and removing a few, per a discussion at WP:BLP/N. I've finished A-C so far. Unitanode 21:22, 22 July 2009 (UTC)

Prosthesiology
I would be interested in seeing an article on prosthesiology, but I can't even decide where to request put my request! It falls under several engineering categories: mechanical, computer, electrical, biomedical, materials, etc., and could easily be placed in a category outside of engineering as well. Even though the word "prosthesiology" was in use in the engineering field 30 years ago, Googling it produces surprisingly few results. Is it possible that it's not in common use? The "Prosthetics" page is pretty general, and it concentrates more on the types of devices than the process by which they are designed. Thanks for any input.Carlaclaws (talk) 19:25, 9 January 2010 (UTC)
Escalation?
I'm not sure there is really enough to say about the tech support escalation process to warrant an entire article. Perhaps it could be folded in to an article about tech support. "Escalation" is merely the term used for passing a problem to a person/group who is more knowledgeable on the subject than the current tech support rep. --RavanAsteris (talk) 09:03, 29 January 2010 (UTC)
- Escalation can also refer to "second-level support." Companies such as Adobe outsource their tech support to India and if you can't understand Apu or he can't solve your problem, you as a customer are often transferred back to the US to be handled by an more qualified expert.BGinOC (talk) 01:44, 29 June 2010 (UTC)
Medical content
Have moved all the medical related / health related ones to the medical subpage. It looks like there is a fair bit of duplication.Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 12:51, 22 February 2010 (UTC)
Instruction for this page
Having gone through a few hundred of these I have found a pattern. Some are spelling mistakes, other are names for condition Wikipedia already covers, some are non notable terms. I have created some instructions on the subpage Wikipedia:Requested articles/Applied arts and sciences/Medicine. Wondering if some instructions here would be useful?--Doc James (talk · contribs · email) 01:07, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Efficient use of elevator
how to use elevator efficiently so that we reduce usual traffic and reduce consumption of energy? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 117.226.173.90 (talk) 18:50, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
