:Seams important enough to me, not as important as the fact that Elon is an outspoken opponent of homosexuality convicted of having had same sex sexual contact with a minor - though. But admittedly, the "sexual misconduct" section could be more concise. Cheers, [[User:Ajnem|Ajnem]] ([[User talk:Ajnem|talk]]) 17:24, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Please use English references

I happened on this and was annoyed to see no English references when a quick news.google search showed lots of english sources from Feburary 2010, and updated material which I then ended up putting in the article. Feel free to use as references ones like the relevant article I put in external links. CarolMooreDC (talk) 18:24, 10 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Why annoyed? Please AGF. There is no problem with using foreign references. And external links is not the right place to put links to news. If you cannot be bothered to edit the article yourself, you should move the links to the discussion page so that someone else might do that work. From experience, I can't see how anyone expects someone else to do 'their' work. --Shuki (talk) 10:49, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia:V#Non-English_sources Because this is the English Wikipedia, English-language sources should be used in preference to non-English ones, except where no English source of equal quality can be found that contains the relevant material. If there are articles in English, why use foreign languages?
Anyway, FYI here's one of many articles in ENglish about the earlier allegations: *Yair Ettinger, Rabbi Elon accused of 'long-term' sexual relationship with student Rabbi Elon accused of 'long-term' sexual relationship with student, Haaretz, February 18, 2010.
One can point out problems with articles without having to fix every one. And I did do work of updating info. CarolMooreDC (talk) 15:56, 13 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Again, this is nice, but the issue here is not a preference of non-english references, but a lack of editors to insert English ones instead. If you can contribute to the article, that is valiant. But the external links is not a repository of 'see also' news reports. --Shuki (talk) 18:49, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
