Welcome Onam2013!

Now that you've joined Wikipedia, there are 47,929,535 users!
Hello, Onam2013. Welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions! I'm TheFlyingFoot, one of the other editors here, and I hope you decide to stay and help contribute to this amazing repository of knowledge.
Some pages of helpful information to get you started:
  Introduction to Wikipedia
  The five pillars of Wikipedia
  Editing tutorial
  How to edit a page
  Simplified Manual of Style
  The basics of Wikicode
  How to develop an article
  How to create an article
  Help pages
  What Wikipedia is not
Some common sense Do's and Don'ts:
  Do be bold
  Do assume good faith
  Do be civil
  Do keep cool!
Do maintain a neutral point of view
  Don't spam
  Don't infringe copyright
Don't edit where you have a conflict of interest
  Don't vandalize
  Don't get blocked
If you need further help, you can:
  Ask a question
or even:
Ask an experienced editor to "adopt" you

Alternatively, leave me a message at my talk page or type {{helpme}} here on your talk page, and someone will try to help.

There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:
  Fight vandalism
Be a WikiFairy or a WikiGnome
  Help contribute to articles

  Perform maintenance tasks
Become a member of a project that interests you
  Help design new templates

Remember to always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to this (your talk) page, and a timestamp.

The best way to learn about something is to experience it. Explore, learn, contribute, and don't forget to have some fun!
To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own private sandbox for use any time. Perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}} on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.

Sincerely, TheFlyingFoot (talk) 08:38, 9 August 2013 (UTC)   (Leave me a message)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Kadal Kadannu Oru Maathukutty without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Your edit removed the poster from the infobox; I restored that. Additionally, I'm not clear why you changed the reviews, when it looks like all the reviews are positive (or at least neutral). Thank you. —C.Fred (talk) 14:41, 12 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Daivathinte Swantham Cleetus

Can you provide a reliable soucre which says the film's reception was positive? Almost all the reviews listed in the article are negative (except those by The Hindu and Oneindia which still gives the movie only an average verdict). So that only I accepted the change from 'mixed and negative' to simply 'mixed'. The sites you provided as sources (such as onlookermedia.com etc) are not considered reliable in wikipedia. Please discuss in my talk page before you continue 'edit warring' in the article. Thanks - Libin Scaria (talk) 16:17, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Vensatry. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Thalapathi seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Vensatry (Ping me) 13:25, 21 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

He also keeps removing the film's official poster, believing it is fake (Man, I scanned it from G. Dhananjayan's book, then how can it be fake?) ---- Kailash29792 (talk) 07:19, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Onam, the image u showed me is a DVD cover, not a poster. And in Wiki, posters are preferable over posters. My image is 100% official, and I can prove it. Kailash29792 (talk) 15:51, 22 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The second image u showed me is still not a poster, and is the DVD cover of Thalapathi's Telugu dubbed version. Since Thalapathi is purely a Tamil film, the image will not be used. Until u come with a true poster, my image will be used. Kailash29792 (talk) 05:52, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of awards and nominations received by Mohanlal, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page 20:20 (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}. However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.  Mark Arsten (talk) 19:20, 24 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Mammootty. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Materialscientist (talk) 07:31, 26 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. Not only are you violating Wikipedia's policies by reverting good edits, you are also badmouthing other editors. Calling user Jayakrishnan a street dog will only result in you being blocked from Wiki, and the best thing you can do is apologise to him and turn over a new leaf.
