The CMJ Rock Hall Music Fest is a now-annual music festival that takes place in venues across Cleveland, Ohio. The festival is sponsored by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, located on the shores of Lake Erie downtown, as well as by CMJ, or College Music Journal, a weekly magazine for the music industry and college radio stations in the United States and Canada.

2005

The festival featured live bands at a variety of locations throughout Cleveland, including a festival village on the west bank of The Flats near the Cuyahoga River. Emphasis was placed on independent acts and "up-and-coming" bands, although the festival did have its share of more well known acts as well, including the headlining act the Pixies, who performed in the lobby of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame itself. The inaugural festival was put on in the spring of 2005, and was a moderate success.

2006

The second annual festival will be held June 14-18, 2006, and will feature a relocated festival village in front of the Rock Hall. CMJ and the Rock Hall hope to bring a larger lineup to the festival in 2006 as well. Tickets are $50 for a five day pass to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and for admission to all shows.
