74.76.139.166 (talk) 13:54, 5 April 2014 (UTC)Change the native language included at the top from Persian to Afghan Persian, or Dari, which is one of their official languages. Saying Persian gives the feeling that they are Iranian.
- Are you referring to the translations of "Afghanistan" that appear in the first parts of the article? If so, you'll need to provide new translations in the different languages you've requested, as well as reliable sources to verify the accuracy of the translation and pronunciation. If you're referring to something different in the article, please be more specific and make your request in the form of "Change X to Y". Thanks, --ElHef (Meep?) 14:32, 5 April 2014 (UTC)
Edit Request - Include information regarding Opium production/Trade
Can't help but notice the suspiciously blatant omission of ANY mention of opium in the article. It's possible I missed it, but I scoured the Economy section pretty thoroughly and saw no mention of it even though MANY sources indicate that opium production constitutes over 10% of the nation's GDP. Therefor, as a minimum, I'd like to insert the following:
Many sources indicate that as much as 11% or more of Afghanistan's economy is derived from the cultivation and sale of opium, and Afghanistan is widely considered the world's largest producer of opium despite Afghan government and international efforts to eradicate the crop.[1][2]
(Not sure how the refs will work as I cut and pasted them. They show up when I edit, but the links don't seem to work, so here are the linked URLs: http://www.unodc.org/pdf/publications/afg_opium_economy_www.pdf, and https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/af.html)
Frankly, if someone had the time and inclination, Opium should probably be added as its own subheading under Economy or at least discussed in more detail under Agriculture. Mikerrr (talk) 15:00, 2 May 2014 (UTC)

I would like to you to please change the part where its stated "Independence from Persia" Afghanistan was never fully under the control of the Persian empire, only two main cities those being Herat and Kandahar. With Kabul and south eastern Afghanistan being under the control of the Moghul empire whilst the rest were in mini kingdoms having their own rulers. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotaki_dynasty

- Not done for now: as you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request. Wikipedia is not a reliable source, but given your position you must know of, or be able to find, a reliable source. - Arjayay (talk) 08:39, 4 May 2014 (UTC) here he here he...lol....gotta love me....
