Ajmer Junction railway station is located in Ajmer district in the Indian state of Rajasthan .

Location and layout

Ajmer Junction is an important railway junction having 5 platforms and situated in the heart of the city. It is at an elevation of 464 metres (1,522 ft) and was assigned the code – AII. Other Suberban Station of Ajmer are Daurai,Madar and Adarsh Nagar.[1] It has a railway complex, which includes a major workshop.[2]

Branchings

It has 4 branchings of broad gauge lines to Beawar in South-west, Chittorgarh Junction in South, Phulera Junction in North and Pushkar in West.[3] It also has a Metre gauge line subject to conversion under Project Unigauge to Udaipur.[2]
