Hi Dlohcierekim,

"directly associated" doesn't signify that I'm an employee of the firm. I'm a friend of someone working in that firm and by no means is being paid for doing what i'm trying to do.
"do not want "authorized" individuals writing about their companies" - "full authority for attempting to create " again doesn't say that I'm an employee as you have specified again. I believe Wikipedia encourages people to make valuable and informative contributions and that is exactly the reason why I attempted to create an article.

If Wikipedia is an encyclopedia like you said, one look at the draft I had posted would have been sufficient to understand that what I had submitted is highly neutral and not at all promotional.

I simply do not understand the logic behind deleting a submission without even giving it a chance.

"have been trying to create for a while now" signifies that I have been working hard on collecting the required information and references in order to create an article which I'm sure you would agree is a tedious and time consuming task. It does not mean that I have been writing article after article on wiki as you have misunderstood.

I have been as transparent as possible with the entire process and have submitted my article with utmost sincerity. I was asked to help out because he knew that I would be as unbiased as possible with the entire thing which I believe I have been.

I believe it would be really helpful if you could advise me on how I can improve my poor writing skills because as you said "It is not how an encyclopedia article can be written" rather than levelling charges such as sockpuppetry & conflict of interest which is not helping my cause.

Thanks in advance for understanding and for your help.

Need Some Help Understanding

Hi... I'm an engineer at Immersion Corp. I'm trying to have a conversation with the volunteers who monitor that entry. I believe that the article's portrayal of Immersion as a "patent troll" is misleading and supported by very little evidence. I believe that my argument to the contrary is stronger.

I posted to the Immersion Corporation Talk page, as someone with a COI is expected to do. However, you recommended my Talk post be deleted as well as recommending my personal user page for speedy deletion. I’ve updated my user page according to advice I got from the Teahouse where they recommended I remove hyperlinks and more clearly disclose my purpose for creating a User Page. I’m hoping to repost my initial comment to continue the conversation.

I would like to understand where I went wrong. Thanks in advance for your help.-- Barb.helfer (talk) 20:13, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Barb.helfer: I'm sorry. Probably a misunderstanding on my part. Please proceed as if I had not screwed up this way. I apologize for the aggravation.Dlohcierekim (talk) 20:31, 1 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Revdel thoughts

Hey, just as a note, when you revdel something by request (like at Assassinorum: Execution Force) make sure you remove the revdel template ;)

Also, out of curiosity, why the R2 revdel? Was that a misclick? It looked like just copyvio to me. Primefac (talk) 01:43, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

A misclick. Thanks for the reminder on removing the tag. I was distracted by an intrding thought.Dlohcierekim (talk) 02:58, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why did you delete Lewis O'Donnell

Hey I don't understand why you deleted Page Lewis O'Donnell it had references. I see many pages with only one reference. Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Inovativeguy (talkcontribs) 06:04, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Inovativeguy: 2 reasons- you created it on the talk page, you created it w/ a speedy deletion tag. Looks like you had a copy sitting around since December. It was recreated w/ deletion tags then too. Try pasting it to the article page, only w/o the deletion tags. Dlohcierekim (talk) 06:15, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

How do I create a wiki page for Lewis O'Donnell?

I will take care of it- no guarantee on longevity.Dlohcierekim (talk) 06:19, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Any luck with the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Inovativeguy (talkcontribs) 06:31, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Minerva Piquero

Hello. I've defended the article Minerva Piquero that you have deleted. Unless I am misundernstanding policy, this means it merits a discussion before deletion. Thanks.Pacostein (talk) 20:03, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

It was an expired ProD with the ProD still in place. But we can restore and AfD.Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:12, 2 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

 Done

Allow me to reconstuct Southern City Colleges and to resolve the issues in regarding how the article was constructed. I understand how it was poorly constructed and had resulted to several issue and had once nominated for deletion. As to the main subject of the article, Southern City Colleges does exist and is worthy to have its own article since it is one of the oldest institution to Zamboanga City.

Give me at least a week to fix the page and help by adding more contents for this article. Bumbl_loid (talk) 05:23, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

YoupsGreeny2

Just FYI, but the user's creation don't actually appear to be promotional. Rather, as far as I can tell, they are entirely invented subjects. They all seem to trace back to greenytoonsuniverse.wikia.com, which itself, doesn't actually seem to be about anything. It's... a lot of invented articles that don't actually seem to have any basis in any real or fictional universe as far as I can tell. It's actually a little bizarre. G11

Does User:Jim Madrid pass your G11 standard? Legacypac (talk) 18:55, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, with promospeak like "a masterful business leader, author, teacher and educator, who is remarkably successful at empowering individuals and teams to achieve their full potential." <gagging /> Might want to tag for U5, but I see G11 is already there. Might want to engage user in discussion about W not being a webhost. Has he made other edits? Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:02, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
(talk page stalker) Legacypac:
  1. Yes.
  2. Why are you patrolling user pages? There's like a fifty gagillion page backlog on articles. Are you just trying to get more experience before going after articles?
TimothyJosephWood 20:12, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
There is also a huge backlog in userpage patrol and even fewer editors working on it. Lots of spam, copyvio, hoaxes etc. In page curation tool you can select either Articles or Userpages. I work both. Killing off spam before it gets copied into mainspace is another reason. Legacypac (talk) 20:15, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Legacypac: Well, the difference is that a userspace draft can sit there literally forever, and it probably won't harm anything. Memory is cheap...very cheap. But a new article after a few months automatically gets the NOINDEX removed, meaning it's visible to search engines, and is more likely to be seen by someone. In fact, user pages aren't even currently counted in the NPP backlog. TimothyJosephWood 21:06, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
No index is stripped after 30 days in mainspace. Userpages are visable in Google - try it. If you switch to Userpages in the Page Curation tool you can see the backlog, well part of it. They fall off the NPP patrol list at some point. See also WP:ABANDONED I both deleting problimatic material and resurfacing useful material. Legacypac (talk) 21:14, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Only really old userpages are indexed. A google search for each of our names shows only things we've done tangentially (mostly reports and non-Wikipedia wikis). Obviously no one has any call to stop you doing whatever it is you want to do, I think TJW just wanted to give you a helpful suggestion. Hello?Dlohcierekim (talk) 21:58, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
For the record, I am much more concerned with currently posted promo spam, unsourced BLP's and unpatrolled new pages than I will ever be for stale user pages.Dlohcierekim (talk) 22:04, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Well, now that I've manually added no indexing to my main user pages, why... exactly are these visible to google? TimothyJosephWood 22:26, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I started a thread at WP:VPT, because AFAIK, this shouldn't be a thing. I mean, I could understand if my first account was indexed, but this one is only three years old. TimothyJosephWood 22:29, 4 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page watcher) Then, 103.59.30.56, you should change change your username and then appeal the block on the User talk:SUHANAGROUP page. At the moment you are editing logged-out in order to breach an editing restriction, a practice that unfortunately is very much frowned upon here. Hi there. You deleted Yolancer citing that AfD but didn't close the AfD itself. I did so now but it would be good if you could add your reasoning to the AfD. Regards SoWhy 16:54, 6 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Draft:ITC Infotech sock/meat farm?

Hi Dlohcierekim, hope you're well. Just wondering- could you give me the editors who repeatedly created this article? If that's allowed, of course. The first couple anyway, as they're not in my log. Since it's been recreated ?five times, and by multiple accounts, I think it's time to give those good people at SPI something to do  :) cheers! — O Fortuna semper crescis, aut decrescis 10:13, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

AngusR at Ramblers Holidays Ltd user deleted

Hi I'm pretty much a novice at the Wikipedia. I'd updated my profile to highlight who I was and my authority to make changes to factually incorrect content about our organization on Wikipedia. Looks like that stayed into your definition of advertising rather than clear identification of a user's identity and qualification to make changes. Not to worry, I've created a new profile and kept it simple. Hopefully this will avoid the instant death suffered by my previous attempt. Repeated Page Deletion of ITC Infotech

Hi Dlohcierekim,

This is regarding the repeated deletion of ITC Infotech article which I have been trying to create for a while now. I'm a total novice here and had created the draft after properly going through the guidelines specified by Wikipedia and after understand the specifics of each guidelines. I have intentionally not tried to promote any article which is advertorial nor have I indulged in what you termed as "Sockpuppet". Hence, I would like to request you in helping me create an article for ITC Infotech by making me understand the specifics of the guidelines. I'm directly associated with ITC Infotech and have full authority for attempting to create an article. Kindly let me know how to proceed with this further.

Thanks in advance! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Imorningstar85 (talkcontribs) 11:38, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Imorningstar85: Well. You have a conflict of interest as you are writing on behalf of the company you belong to. Which explains why the thing reads like spam. You have been trained to write that way. It is not how an encyclopedia article can be written. Read WP:Paid. You probably don't need to be creating/editing articles that you are this connected with. We really do not want "authorized" individuals writing about their companies unless they can write in a neutral point of view. This is an encyclopedia. It is not a webhost for you to talk about your company. As an encyclopedia, it has inclusion requirements. That means a lot has to be written about the subject by people not connected with the subject. Also, I'm not the one who initiated the sockpuppet investigation. I simply let Fortuna know who had created the thing in the past. This is the problem-- whenever we see this sort of editing pattern, we think all individuals connected with the page are connected in real life, to each other and to the subject. It staggers our credulity that so many people would create a promospeak piece about the same subject. The place to address that concern is at the sockpuppet investigation, after reading about defending your self. Wait a tick. You've "have been trying to create for a while now"? How long? The first edit by your current account was on 2017-06-06, at T10:46:57UTC. This suggest to me that you are using multiple accounts which can mean sockpuppetry. You really will need to explain that. Going forward, you need to read WP:paid and make the required declaration on your user page. Admin advise You are hereby officially discouraged in editing the thing in any way that violates WP:paid.Dlohcierekim (talk) 12:51, 7 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
