Thank you for your reply, I would just like to correct the misunderstanding I seemed to have created. I meant that the article has plenty of reliable sources, what I meant is that these reliable sources are not very influential and do not carry big names, but the process undertaken to achieve the information, is very the same for these establishments as the more influential ones. That is all. Thank you for your attention and time.

Age of person

You have taken the age of Toni Phillips down . Please refrain from undoing true information . She is a friend if mine . The birthday is 23rd July 1981 if you would like photographic evidence . Many thanks Lukeyboy24 (talk) 13:09, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You have messed up the article @Lukeyboy24:, as you can see for yourself. I am a little busy now and probably one of the other editors will revert your edits anyway, so best. Jupitus Smart 13:11, 25 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Bhallaladeva

Kindly understand, the page is enough long and the character deserves a separate page. So please don't try to delete it and if you want to help, then make separate pages of other Baahubali franchise characters too, because its not just a film series, but is a franchise that contains all of movies, animated series, live action series and even novel. It is equally imporatant as of other franchises characters lIke marvel and DC characters. SO, don't blinly revert this page. I am aman goyal (talk) 14:07, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I have replied on the talk page of the article. Best. Jupitus Smart 14:09, 30 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

List of highest grossing Indian films

Hi, like you reverted the disputed list of adjusted gross on the page, please revert the page ' List of highest grossing Indian films' back to this version till a consensus is achieved. The current 'Highest-grossing films by year' section on the page is using the same misleading numbers and disputed source, as the other section you removed. SoniaKovind (talk) 12:07, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@SoniaKovind: I cannot revert that until a discussion on the same has been done. You should ideally begin discussing with the other user on the talk page as with the inflation adjusted numbers. If a consensus is not arrived, we may think about reverting. Personally I think these edits are not as misleading as the inflated adjusted numbers. While I accept that its not the best method to arrive at the numbers, the ideal solution will be to convince the other editor about the same. Regards. Jupitus Smart 12:17, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We are actually discussing it already, the same discussion you joined earlier today. My point was that you only reverted a part of the disputed edits, the section I have mentioned is also the subject of the discussion as it uses the same misleading content and disputed, unreliable sources as the section you deleted earlier. Just as you mentioned that leaving misleading data on a high traffic page is not desirable. I request you to please remove it till the discussion is on. Thanks SoniaKovind (talk) 12:33, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Discussing here won't achieve any purpose. Let us discuss this in the talk page of the article, where all concerned parties can be involved. Jupitus Smart 12:36, 3 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Mungarumale collected ₹75 crore

Information icon Hello, I'm Tevar shaa. I wanted to let you know that According to reports at that time, #Mungarumale was the first film to touch ₹50 crore and even within 300 days See this.[1]. And ran for 1 year continuously in PVR with packed houses. And went on to run over 865 days and raked over ₹75 crore in its life time in #Karnataka. [2] and [3].

Actually the Mungarumale collection is not announced by any primary sources like producer/actor/director/distributors, it is by critic, named C.H. Prahlada Rao, who told to "DNA"

Templating me won't help your cause nor will discussing it in my talk page. I am not the authority to decide on such things but will however re-iterate what I have mentioned before in the talk page of List of Highest Grossing Indian movies.
  • Indiaglitz is considered a non-reliable source according to WP:ICTFFAQ
  • New Indian Express does not say anything about 75 crores
  • The DNA source has been discussed extensively on the talk page of List of Highest Grossing Indian movies.
Most, if not all the sources agree on the 50 crore figure. The 75 crore figure can therefore be considered as an error on the part or the person who claimed it. And this source clearly says that Raajkumara had already become the highest grossing Kannada movie when its 100 day celebrations were held with the gross at 70 crores. That effectively rules out any possibility of Mungaru Male's 75 crore figure being accepted as true by anybody in the industry. Jupitus Smart 12:33, 9 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Page mover granted

Hello, Jupitus Smart. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, and move subpages when moving the parent page(s).

Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

Sergio Rubino

Dear Jupitus Smart,

thank you for writing:
"Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Sergio Rubino, from its old location at User:Sergio Rubino/sandbox. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Jupitus Smart 20:02, 11 July 2017 (UTC)"
Hope you read the article. My question is: Is it possible to publish the article like it is now? Or do we have to add more information? If yes, which? This page already exists in German and Italian language.
Thank you so much in advance for your help.
With best regards,
Silke Weigand (Sergio Rubinos partner)--Sergio Rubino (talk) 10:17, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not very keen about people associated with article subjects writing the articles. Since you are his partner, @Sergio Rubino:, I suggest you read WP:COI. As for the article, it has a lot of problems, which will probably mean the article will not pass. For one, most of the things mentioned in the article don't have references. If the article exists in German/Italian Wikipedias, you may use the references used there and any other reference from reliable sources, as we don't require references to be in English. Also the article reads like a resume. You should ideally cut down on the excessive details like, the list of all his exhibitions and publications etc. Here are some decently written articles for you to model yours on - Don Reitz or Aristide Maillol or even Amedeo Modigliani. If you look at them, none of them lists art exhibitions or publications or other such non-substantial data. Best of luck.Jupitus Smart 10:32, 13 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jupitus Smart, thank you for your efforts reviewing new pages!

Backlog update:

  • The new page backlog is currently at 18,511 pages. We have worked hard to decrease from over 22,000, but more hard work is needed! Please consider reviewing even just a few pages a a day.
  • Some editors are committing to work specifically on patrolling new pages on 15 July. If you have not reviewed new pages in a while, this might be a good time to be involved. Please remember that quality of patrolling is more important than quantity, that the speedy deletion criteria should be followed strictly, and that ovetagging for minor issues should be avoided.

Technology update:

  • Several requests have been put into Phabractor to increase usability of the New Pages Feed and the Page Curation toolbar. For more details or to suggest improvements go to Wikipedia:Page Curation/Suggested improvements
  • The tutorial has been updated to include links to the following useful userscripts. If you were not aware of them, they could be useful in your efforts reviewing new pages:

Request on 18:23:43, 17 July 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Echoasis

Hello Jupitus Smart,

You recently declined an article, 'Soothe', I edited. The reason provided was that this draft looked like an advertisement. However, I believe the content was truthful and objective given that Soothe is a company which provides personal services, so the draft was purely stating the service itself instead of promoting anything. And the references were also from varied valid sources instead of first-hand press release or promotional articles. I would really appreciate it if you could provide more inputs regarding how I could improve this draft and to be accepted. I really hope this article could be published so my efforts were not for nothing.

Thank you very much. Sincerely, Echoasis

Echoasis (talk) 18:23, 17 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

You are free to believe differently, @Echoasis:. However when 3 editors - me, SwisterTwister and admin RHaworth who deleted the earlier draft feel that it is an advertorial article per Wikipedia's standards, than probably it is. As for improving this article, I think that this is a huge mess that can hardly be improved. It would be better for you to blank the page, and start over, modelling the article on similar companies, who already have Wiki pages. Some of the things that you will not usually find on Wiki pages include - locations served or some of the information you have included in sections like Service or Soothe at Work. These information are better off in the company website and not in an encyclopedia, and therefore are essentially considered as advertorial content by us. Hope you have understood the gist of our policies. Best. Jupitus Smart 03:41, 18 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 18:23:43, 17 July 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Echoasis

Hello thank you for the quick response. Everything you've mentioned does make sense. However, the only thing that confuses me is that the Wikipedia page of the company 'Zeel', Soothe's number one competitor, followed the format and included information extremely similar to the Soothe draft I worked on. Zeel's page was the direct guide I studied before I wrote my draft. I just wonder why that page could be accepted by Wikipedia. I'm looking forward to your insight regarding this. Thank you very much.

@Echoasis: On looking at the page of Zeel, I concur that the article is also written in a very non-encylopedic manner. That page has not been reviewed by any editor till date (Source). Wikipedia changed its policies since then and nowadays require all new articles to be reviewed by WP:NPR eligible editors. So while Zeel managed to escape scrutiny due to its age, the same provision will not be available for Soothe if it is created. One of the options before you is to initiate an WP:AFD against Zeel, which would generally achieve one of two things. Either that page will be deleted, or one of the editors will heavily trim down the advertorial content. So if Zeel is what is bothering you, this is what I would suggest. And in case you choose to initiate an WP:AFD, WP:CORPDEPTH would be the criteria you should put forward for deletion (as Zeel does not satisfy WP:CORPDEPTH which needs to be satisfied by all companies which have articles on Wikipedia). Question about Draft on Biometric voter registration

Hi there, I wanted to thank you for moving the draft Draft:Biometric voter registration I am working on and letting me know that the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. I really appreciated it. As I am already here, I just wanted to ask you if by any chance do you know what would be the most appropriate place to ask other editors where could I add my draft as a sub-section?. I think it may not be notable enough for a completely new article in WP, so I thought maybe add a section in another related article (such as Biometrics, Voter registration or Electronic_authentication). I already asked in those articles' talkpages, but I am not sure if I am following the right path. Sorry to bother you with this matter. Thank you very much for your support! Cheers!E-DemSnoopy (talk) 07:10, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@E-DemSnoopy: Wikipedia is a collaborative effort and you may add relevant sections in relevant pages as you deem fit. There is no singular source for taking decisions in this regard, so we trust you in good faith to take the right decisions. In case the information you add is deemed as unfit for the article by any editor, they may revert your additions, and you can talk it out with the person about the suitability of the information. Request on 13:13:03, 30 July 2017 for assistance on AfC submission by Annapurna16

Hello Jupiter Smart, Thanks for the review on the article. I have referred to the notability article on wikipedia. I have cited many references to reputable publications such as Filmfare, Indian Express, Mumbai Mirror etc to establish a person's notability in the field who has directed multiple short films and also won a Filmfare award. Do let me know if there is something else to improve upon. Annapurna16 (talk) 13:13, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Annapurna16:, Its Jupitus Smart and not Jupiter. Anyway, I have made myself very clear in the review. Directing some short films or being the assistant director are not enough to establish any notability per our standards at WP:DIRECTOR. Refer to WP:ICTFFAQ for the list of websites we consider as reliable sources. Of the reliable sources presented, the India Today article is about a movie, which is partly based on the a story by the said person and the Indian Express reference is an interview with her. The India times and Filmfare references are also reliable, though they discuss about the short film and not about the person. So among the reliable references only the Indian Express reference is relevant in ourcase, and the others are not very useful, meaning this still have to be declined. I feel that is a case of WP:TOOSOON and probably when she directs a feature film we can think about an article for her. Cheers. Jupitus Smart 13:57, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Khethukuthula Mhlongo.

I am currently writing an article about Khethukuthula Mhlongo. I noticed that you have added a speedy deletion tag. I do not understand why you have done such. I have read the terms and conditions to be considered when writing an article for the first time and my article isnt in breach of anything. I have proved the relevance and significance of the person who ia the subject of this article. Mhlongokhetho (talk) 14:21, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mhlongokhetho: You might not remember me, but I was the one who nominated your previous page Khetho Davidson. If you want a lot of time, I can allow you to work on this in draftspace, though I can assure you that it won't pass from there. But if you insist, I can move this page to draftspace where you can take your time and work on it. Otherwise this is going to be deleted. Jupitus Smart 14:26, 30 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Asma Zenzali:. The current article will most probably not pass the review, as the person is probably not notable by our standards. You should continue adding references instead of a photograph, to strengthen the article's case during a review. Good luck. Jupitus Smart 13:18, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

First Class Explorer move to Draft space

I received your note that you moved my new draft. When you did so you changed the title from First Cass Explorer (BPSA in Canada) to First Class Explorer.

The '(BPSA in Canada)' portion of the name is fairy important and should be kept. There are other BPSA organizations in the world and within them they also have the First Class rank. However their requirements are not necessarily the same so the '(BPSA in Canada)' portion of the name is required to distinguish the Canadian requirements from those of other countries. Very well, I see that you have taken care it of yourself. Nothing more to be done. Jupitus Smart 09:06, 2 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

18:26:01, 3 August 2017 review of submission by Golden Freak

Why did you decline it? I am new in this area.

@Golden Freak: - there are many reasons. The article is a mess with unformatted tables, external links, different coloured boxes etc. Then there is the issue of notability. Wikipedia requires every article to have reliable references to ensure the factual accuracy of everything presented and to make sure that the article's subject merits an article. With the current references, I am not seeing notability being met. Jupitus Smart 08:55, 4 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for K. E. Mammen

On 4 August 2017, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article K. E. Mammen, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that freedom fighter K. E. Mammen was expelled from Madras Christian College for participating in the Quit India Movement? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/K. E. Mammen. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, K. E. Mammen), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Save page

Hello sir. Thank you so much for your help. You sent me a guide text for save Meysam Razi page by a reason. But I didnt understand exactly how can I save that I created page about Meysam Razi. Best Regards Mesiturk (talk) 14:58, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Mesiturk: The article will be deleted for the same reason why it was deleted on the Farsi Wikipedia. There is nothing much you can do to save it, though you may try adding references which won't be very helpful as well by my assessment. Jupitus Smart 15:06, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

What needs changing?

Hello, you recently moved my page on a hotel chain. I state in that page that I am indeed a paid, connected contributor, and I wish to present a neutral wikipedia page for the brand group, just as many other pages for businesses are opened I simply wish to add another one.

Would you be so kind as to point out which particular things should be changed the acceptance of the page? In terms of more reliable sources, unfortunetely the chain is not so big to the point that it is referenced multiple times in influential reliable sources, so it is limited to the only sources who´ve provided news or articles about what happened, and they are local sources too, writing in the language.

Thank you very much, hope to hear from you soon. ArtFer1 14:22, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@ArtFer1:, Well if you yourself feel that it does not have enough reliable sources to merit an article, than we cannot help, as we are not obliged to pass the article just so that you meet your contract commitments. That aside, I was not the person who reviewed the article. I merely moved the article to its current location. The reviewer in your case was Dodger67, and he is the person who can give you the exact reason, though from my own assessment, the article reads like a large advertisement which is better off on the company's website. Jupitus Smart 14:27, 8 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your reply, I would just like to correct the misunderstanding I seemed to have created. The article has plenty of reliable sources, what I meant is that these reliable sources are not very influential and do not carry big names, but the process undertaken to achieve the information, is very the same for these establishments as the more influential ones. That is all. Thank you for your attention and time.
