Layal Abboud (Arabic: ليال عبود:[layāl ˈabˈboud]; born 15 May 1982) is a Lebanese pop singer, multi-instrumentalist musician, concert dancer, Muslim humanitarian and businesswoman.[1]

Born in a Southern Lebanon village. A former Internal Security Forces officer, Studied English literature in Lebanese University, Translation in BAU and Musical expression in AUST. Started musical career in 2001 and sings in different arabic dialects. Her first album Fi Shouq (Arabic: في شوق: on longing) published in late 2007 [4] .Abboud is a singer member in the Syndicate of Professional artists in Lebanon, Music Sector. [5]
Early life and beginnings
Layal Mounir Abboud was born into a huge Shia Muslim family on May 15, 1982 in southern village of Kanisah, Tyre District. Her father named Mounir and mother Maryam, has 9 siblings, three brother and six sister. As a child, started practising singing. [1] Studied English literature in Lebanese University, Translation in Beirut Arab University, continued in American University of Science and Technology.[6] After graduated with Master's degree in English literature and translation, started studying music in Lebanese National Higher Conservatory of music for two years.[7] Then, she followed the musical study under Richard Najm, Oud, organ and guitar playing. [7] [8] Inspired by Ammar El Sherei , Baligh Hamdi [1] and Sabah [9].Appeared for the first time in the hit show " Studio El-Fan" in 2001-02 as a competitor from South Lebanon[7] Stated in July 2014 that she is "very much drawn to French musicians, possibly because I’m a bit of a hopeless romantic". Personal life and appearance
Abboud is a former Lebanese Police Force officer[22]. Stated that Akel Fakih [23] is who " the mastermind behind the way" she dress in her professional, social, and daily life, "Elie Samaan does my hair and makeup; my stylist is Serene Assaad, and my photographer is Hussein Salman." [1]
In April 19, 2017 as guest of La-hon wa-bas, a satire entertainment LBCI program hosted by Hicham Haddad, she condemned Issue 1838 Nadine Magazines cover[24], told "it's for point of raising readers and makes them buy the magazine" (Yellow journalism)[23] Interested in sport especially horse riding from childhood, breeds three horses in village of Tanbourit, Sidon District: Rim, Loulou , Khaybar (named after Khaibar-1 ) and Layal (named after her given name) [25][23]A Resistance movement supporter and "Anyone who defends the homeland". Cares about her physical health and elegance. [23] Identified herself "first as a cultured person, then an artist". Described herself "Bitter water of sea, which does not affect the rainsas" as reaction to Lebanese cultural ministry's reverences.
On March 14, 2016 Abboud appointed Lawyer Haitham Tarshishi to file a lawsuit against "all those involved in the forgery of a picture attributed to her through social networking sites, accompanied by words beyond the limits of fitness", after fake images published about her .[26]Confirmed on Jun 15, 2017 that she performed one time plastic surgery, rhinoplasty, her all body is natural, and "The secret of my beauty is sport".[27] [28]
Writes her diary and interested in Duet. [7] She is a practising Muslim, during Ramadan she is fasting (Sawm), donating to orphans during [6] [9] [29], taking notice of Iftar and Suhur's cuisine, don't hold concerts during month of Ramadan. [30]
She is founder of "Loulou Secret" company in Amman [6], a wedding planning company and "Layal Production" for her works. [7]
At the age of fourteen and later, she was private tutor "As Occupation, for children of our neighbors". [31]
Marriage and family
Abboud married one time, described it "Very formal"[23] but divorced (Talaq), her only son named Jad (born 2005). [32]On June 2, 2017 she said "My early marriage was the result of a love story. I am a woman by nature romantic, dreamy and had a man who practically had his own theory about art and quiless", "By respect among us, we divorced and I chosed my career in art.", "He is the father of my son and I have very respect and appreciation to him.", "I always meet him and his family, he is the first one who congratulate me on any new work that i release", "If you fail an emotional experience, it does not mean that subsequent experiences will fall. The man in our eastern world has the peculiarity of masculinity and this is not a fault, in my opinion." [31]
When She was three years old, her family moved to Saudi Arabia "My mother (Maryam) fled to Lebanon because she could not bear life there, and 40 years later my father (Mounir) returned to Lebanon." [25]Her family did not opposed her for art career, "My mother had a beautiful voice, and she always sang to Talal Maddah and Wadih El Safi and all my sisters have beautiful voices". [25]
