Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr, commonly referred to as, SHA or Sacred Heart, is a private, Roman Catholic school for girls. Sacred Heart is located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania and consists of a Lower, Middle, and Upper School with approximately 300 in enrollment. The school is a member of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

History

Founded in 1865, Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr (SHA) is an international, independent, all-girls, K-12, Catholic, school on the Main Line. SHA is a proud member of the International Network of Sacred Heart Schools.[2] Located in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania in the heart of the Philadelphia Main Line, Sacred Heart serves families in the greater Philadelphia area and surrounding regions.

Academic curriculum

Sacred Heart Academy Bryn Mawr is an independent, Catholic college-preparatory K-12 school for girls and has been in continuous operation for over 150 years.

Athletics

Sacred Heart's high school participates in 10 varsity sports, including: Cross Country Running, Field Hockey, Golf, Tennis, Volleyball, Basketball, Crew, Lacrosse, Softball, and Track

Sacred Heart's middle school participates in Field Hockey, Basketball, Crew (club), Tennis, and Lacrosse.

Scholarships

Sacred Heart Academy merit scholarships are awarded to students applying to Grade 5, Grade 6 and Grade 9, who demonstrate exceptional academic performance, both in the classroom and on the scholarship-entrance exam. Art, Music and STEM scholarships are awarded to accepted Grade 9 students based on the criteria listed on the website.
