Please stop linking to external images in the infobox at Banned in Boise. External images cannot be used in the infobox. Images must be uploaded to Wikipedia or they will not work. --AussieLegend () 16:20, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

  • As I indicated above, images must be uploaded to Wikipedia. Wikimedia Commons can only accept free images. The image that you uploaded is not a free image and will be deleted from Commons. It needs to be uploaded here with avalid non-free usage rationale before it can be used in any articles. It should be uploaded with a descriptive name, not the random string of characters and numbers that you used at Commons. --AussieLegend () 16:50, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • File:"Banned in Boise" Official Poster.jpg is still a copyright violation. It cannot be upload with a free license as it is an official, copyrighted poster. It must be uploaded to Wikipedia if you wish to use it and it must have a non-free use rationale. Please do not continue uploading this as a free image or you may be blocked from both commons and Wikipedia. --AussieLegend () 17:21, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Control copyright icon Hello Thescholarlyinsight, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Banned in Boise have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. AussieLegend () 17:22, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ethan Levy, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Copyright problem icon Your addition to To Catch a Killer (Investigation Discovery) has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. Ethan Levy

Please stop linking "Ethan Levy" at Banned in Boise. Per WP:REDNOT, links to biographical articles that do not exist should be avoided. In the case of Ethan Levy, that article has been deleted several times so a link serves no purpose. Please note that I actually linked to WP:REDNOT when I last removed that link.[1] When you see a link in an edit summary it's always a good idea to follow the link to find out why your edit was reverted. --AussieLegend () 17:59, 15 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Respectful Productions requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Request reason:

With all due respect DMACKS, I am genuinely trying to contribute to the Wikipedia database. I am only adding facts to the database, therefore, I am unsure what your issue is. Wikipedia is utilized to help find information on those within various industries, yes? I'd like for you to reconsider your decision for I am sincerely trying to do good.

Decline reason:

You are promoting various non-notable entities and people, including yourself. That's not doing good, at least not from Wikipedia's point of view. Huon (talk) 22:42, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
