Liberation Road

That website is not the owner of the text I wrote about Draft:Liberation Road. I took the text from the predecessor organization's wiki entry, as did, presumably, the website in question. Iskander Khan (talk) 05:49, 5 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Revisions to my Aaron LaPedis Article

Hello!

I made a fair amount of corrections to the draft of the wikipedia article I was writing on Aaron LaPedis. It has been a few weeks, and I would appreciate it if you get a chance to look over them! Thank you

Kristie A.D.-Research and Diagnostic Systems, Inc. (R&D Systems)

Hi Curb Safe Charmer! I've tried to update my user information to better reflect my paid editor status for this piece. Basically we were hoping to add our flagship brand to this site. Our other brands are here. How, other than writing it ourselves and selecting better references to cite, could we get this brand onto Wikipedia?

Science/Outreach

Dear Sir,

Thanks for this message.

I am new to WIKI and I am sorry that I have submitted an article that doesn't qualify WIKI. But can I ask you if you are from a science/academic background? This subject visited my university a while ago and has done some beautiful work by assembling world's leaders and I thought one can have a page for him. The people he collaborated with include Noam Chomsky, Sir Roger Penrose, Sir Martin Rees, Daniel Dennett, A. C. Grayling, Nicholas Humphrey, Gregory Chaitin, Gerard 't Hooft, Ian Stewart, Barry Mazur, Stephen Wolfram, Paul Davies, Tyler Burge, Doron Swade, Julian Barbour, Newton Da Costa, Francisco Antonio Doria, Reuben Hersh, Nicholas Maxwell and others.

BTW there are many pages without any external links for instance: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quantum_Aspects_of_Life

Can you address this for me?

Many thanks in advance, Milli. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Milli2019 (talkcontribs) 08:29, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Milli2019: Please read WP:NACADEMIC to understand the criteria that we apply when deciding whether there should be an article about a particular scientist. I have now added three references to the Quantum Aspects of Life article. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 08:42, 17 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You first tagged the draft for G7 as blanked by author, then removed that tag because it wasn't the same author who wrote it and blanked it. I think that it was the same author after all, but that is what SPI is for. Robert McClenon (talk) 16:34, 19 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A brownie for you!

For pitching in on Category:AfC pending submissions by age/Very old. -- Worldbruce (talk) 16:15, 27 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Worldbruce: Thanks. Historically, I've mainly reviewed likely 'quick fail' drafts as they're so much quicker and I can fit them in around my work. My circumstances allow me to tackle some of the harder ones now and I am feeling more confident in doing so. The backlog, particularly of the oldest drafts, is bad and it will take a concerted effort from all of us to get it down to where it should be. I'll see how I get on! Thanks for the encouragment. Review query Sunday Show Tunes

Hello Curb Safe Charmer,

Thank you for your message in July informing me that my article had been moved from my sandbox to drafts. Please can you give me an update on when the article is likely to be reviewed and published? This is my first article and I don’t know if I need to do anything else in order for the article to be reviewed.

Many thanks

RL51LEN (talk) 16:12, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@RL51LEN: Draft:Sunday Show Tunes is one of 1,117 drafts in the 'very old' category - ones that have been waiting over three months to be reviewed. Volunteers are making a concerted effort to work through these drafts. I'm afraid you'll have to continue to be patient... Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 18:10, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi: Thanks for reviewing my article. The Grant County Beat obituary was taken from information that I gave to the editor there. She made some minor changes, but basically used what I gave her. When I started my article, I started with that same information. So, if it was copyrighted by anyone, I think it would have been me. Cherie SalmonCherieSalmon (talk) 20:49, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@CherieSalmon: That may be the case, but what you've done is added copyrighted materials to Wikipedia, contrary to the terms of use which you accepted when you added that content. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for what to do next. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 20:53, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Question

So, if I have the editor of the Grant County Beat put the following statement:

The text of this page is released under the Creative Commons Zero Waiver 1.0 (CC0).

at the top of the page that has the obituary, that will suffice?CherieSalmon (talk) 21:06, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@CherieSalmon: I think the instructions at WP:DONATETEXT are clear? Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 21:11, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, Done!

That line is now at the top of that page.CherieSalmon (talk) 21:21, 29 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Cap MATTEI - Article

Hello !

Thanks for your prompt feedbacks about the "CAP MATTEI" article i submitted yesterday.

Could you explain me what is missing exactly and how i can write and propose a new article about the same subject ?

Many thanks to you, Jonathan — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonathan Belkadi (talkcontribs) 09:19, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Jonathan Belkadi: Please read and respond to the message about your conflict of interest that I left on your talk page before editing further. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 20:39, 1 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am working on My work CAM by linking some details to becoming first ever wiki on my work.

Thanks for the head up man. I will put a link source to details about the history of my work at CAM and locations details that apply from Facebook, store website, and google. Besides my work doesn't have many details source about their places except their website, some social media, and google. I will try the best I could.

Article Not Accepted about Artesia (Digital Instruments)

Hello. I hope you are well. I wanted to discuss the reasoning behind the Artesia article being declined. Yes, I am close to this matter specifically, but the article is written in a neutral, fact stating way. Artesia brand pianos and instruments are sold in over 50 countries around the world, so there is a relevance to this article. In addition to that, Musical Merchandise Review (MMR) Magazine is a long standing publication that highlights all aspects of the music industry hardware and software. MMR is a published, reliable, secondary source that is completely independent. Aside from that, the reference #2 from PianoReport.com is a published expert comparison that does not speak highly of the Artesia brand, and labels it in the article as a "brand to avoid". This article was drafted as an unbiased statement of facts about the Artesia brand of instruments. Can you please point me in the right direction as to how to get this brand's page published properly?

A tag has been placed on Category:Insurance in Africa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lovari (Entertainer)

The Lovari (Entertainer) page has been updated with links to Billboard Magazine to shwo his chart history. The page was initially denied at first for not enough references to ascertain the subject's notability. ( Diana Nettey (talk) 15:05, 9 October 2019 (UTC) )[reply]

Hello,

You have declined the submission for the draft because a section has been copied. It indeed has been copied; but it is a factual description of a service/product taken directly from a website belonging to Space Applications Services (as you can see at the bottom of the page). How would you suggest I could remedy this?

Cheers!

teahouse invites via afc

This is just a little pet peeve of mine. To me it seems disingenuous to invite someone to the teahouse while declining their AFC submission, knowing all the while you're about to report them to UAA to be blocked. I understand there is a box you can uncheck if you plan to do this. Again, not a big deal and nothing more than my own personal opinion. Beeblebrox (talk) 20:27, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Beeblebrox: thanks for the feedback - I'd never thought of that. Will try to remember to uncheck the box in the future. Curb Safe Charmer (talk) 20:30, 17 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
