Speedy deletion nomination of Mohammed Umar Bago

[edit]

Hello Wazirinbida,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Mohammed Umar Bago for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

A tag has been placed on File:Aishah Ndanusa.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I can see that you are a new editor, but you need to know that Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously. You must not copy and paste text from sources you find on the web into articles as you did in the article Government College Bida. I have removed the infringing text, but the material you copied is subject to copyright, as is almost everything on the web, and when creating or expanding articles, you should completely rewrite the information from the source using your own words. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 13:05, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Since I wrote above you have created another article Federal Government Girls College Bida. You are still copying whole sentences and pasting them into the article. "This initiative brought together girls from all regions of the country, irrespectively of social or economic background. And through all sorts of strict procedures of morning school bells, dinner bells, lessons bells, prep time, light out," and "Bida is a Local Government Area in Niger State, Nigeria and a city on the A124 highway which occupies most of the area." You don't even think whether what you are writing makes sense. Please stop making these copyright violations otherwise you are likely to get blocked. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 18:10, 14 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

An article you recently created, List of Government College Bida alumni, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. First, ithas to be limited only to those who are notable in the sense of having Wikipedia articles. Second, it needs citations from reliable, independent sources. to show that each individual is actually ofne of the alumni. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). Stop circumventing the intention of the protection and get a draft approved through the regular process at Wikipedia:Articles for creation. Continued re-creation against consensus has become disruptive -- Begoon 01:42, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

OK, Then I'll make it a draft , pls remove that redirect — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wazirinbida (talkcontribs) 08:26, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Fixed as Draft:Government College bida - where you moved it. Please do not move it back to mainspace yourself - when you think it is ready submit it for review, per the Wikipedia:Articles for creation procedure, using the blue "submit" button on the page - it will be moved for you if and only if it meets all the criteria for acceptance. Do not move it yourself. Also, please read WP:INDENT and WP:SIGN and learn how to indent and sign your comments/replies on talk pages. -- Begoon 11:46, 27 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you have made an awful mess with all the attempted page moves and various titles which you have been making in an effort to do an "end run" around protection - work on the draft where it is, do not make any more page moves or create any more new pages on this topic - let other people do that - your moves are leaving unwanted redirects all over the place and creating confusion and extra work for other people cleaning up your mess - the titles can be tidied up/fixed later. -- Begoon 01:38, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
...and, just for absolute clarity, all of the above comments also apply to Draft:List of Government College Bida Alumni. Work in the draft(s) only, do not move them, do not tamper with the mainspace redirects, do not move anything. Moves will be taken care of for you if/when an acceptable draft is submitted through the proper Wikipedia:Articles for creation process. I, and others, have now been forced to waste a lot of time on this mess you have created, and while patience is extended to new editors it is not without limits, so further disruption from you could easily result in sanctions, and there are unlikely to be any more warnings. Thank you. -- Begoon 01:57, 28 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
