Merger proposal

It has been suggested that Nana Otafrija Pallbearing and Dancing Pallbearers be merged – this seem to be correct, as they are about the same subject, but the question is to which article the merge should take place. I would suggest to this article, as it is the proper name of the company, and then keeping "Dancing Pallbearers" as a redirect to here, as it's the more likely search term. Oppose There's a distinction between the particular troupe and the more general concept, which goes back further. People were dancing at funerals in Ancient Egypt and jazz funerals go back some time. Dancing Pallbearers should direct to general coverage of dancing funerals which the particular troupe can be mentioned. Andrew🐉(talk) 17:30, 3 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- That may be the case, the dancing pall bearer article is specifically about a meme about this group of pall bearers and a more general concept of dancing pall bearers as part of funeral rites. The meme article would be a lousy starting point for an article on the general concept.
