== ''Pocket Cars'' packaging == |
|||
The caption of the ''Pocket Cars'' photo - - in the "Tomica Foreign Series ("Blue & White Box" / "Pocket Cars") section - - says that the packaging was for "the North American market." |
|||
That is in error. In my personal collection, I have blisterpacked "Pocket Cars" almost exactly as pictured in French and German for the European market. |
|||
The French version card was made in Canada and the German version was made in Germany. The "almost exactly" in my above sentence means that, except for the "Pocket Cars" label, ''any'' English was replaced by French or German. And one other minor change --- the button on the French/German versions is different than the button used on all of the American versions (it's more translucent). |
|||
Given the above, I suggest that the photo's caption be changed or modified. |

Pocket Cars packaging
The caption of the Pocket Cars photo - - in the "Tomica Foreign Series ("Blue & White Box" / "Pocket Cars") section - - says that the packaging was for "the North American market."
That is in error. In my personal collection, I have blisterpacked "Pocket Cars" almost exactly as pictured in French and German for the European market.
The French version card was made in Canada and the German version was made in Germany. The "almost exactly" in my above sentence means that, except for the "Pocket Cars" label, any English was replaced by French or German. And one other minor change --- the button on the French/German versions is different than the button used on all of the American versions (it's more translucent).
Given the above, I suggest that the photo's caption be changed or modified.
