I think there is an error; wasn't New South Bulfinch's first commission, not Hollis Street? 24.34.104.12 (talk) 17:41, 8 May 2009 (UTC)
- According to encyclopedia.com New South was done in 1814, whereas the Hollis Street Church in 1788. Lwangaman (talk) 18:20, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
Position of the Church
Was the Church located at 75 Franklin, or 49 Franklin? At the end of this article it mentions 49 Franklin. Looking at Google Maps Street View it does seem that there is some kind of engraving on the right hand side of Bonapita Bakery & Grill, which (it's hard to read) may refer to this fact. It looks like there's a picture of a church in this engraving, and it does seem to correspond with the picture in the article: Google Maps Street View - 49 Franklin.
However, in the paragraph "History of the Catholic presence in Boston", there is a mention of Devonshire Street, which is a couple blocks away: "A site was chosen at the southern end of the Tontine Crescent at what is today 214 Devonshire Street." And looking at Google Maps Street View, I see that there is an engraving there too, at Cafe Boston, which is different from the image included in the article: Google Maps Street View - 75 Franklin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lwangaman (talk • contribs) 18:03, 27 January 2021 (UTC)
