PAW Patrol: The Movie is an upcoming American-Canadian computer-animated family adventure comedy film directed by Cal Brunker, based on the children's television series PAW Patrol created by Keith Chapman. It is scheduled to be theatrically released in the United States on August 20, 2021, by Paramount Pictures.

Premise

Ryder and the pups are called to Adventure City to stop Mayor Humdinger from turning the bustling metropolis into a state of chaos. Get ready for exciting missions, high-stake rescues, new pups and amazing new vehicles making this the biggest PAW Patrol story ever! No city is too big; no pup is too small!

In November 2017, Ronnen Harary confirmed that Spin Master is "currently considering whether to extend the PAW Patrol franchise into feature films and the company is currently in the process of developing a film script.[2] Animation for the film will be done by Mikros Image.[3] Cal Brunker will direct the film.[4] Production was done via telecommuting during the COVID-19 pandemic.[5] The full cast was announced in October 2020.[1]

Release

During Spin Master's first quarter 2019 earnings conference call, an animated theatrical film based on the series was confirmed to be "in the works" with an August 2021 theatrical release date.[6] On April 24, 2020, the film's theatrical release was announced to be August 20, 2021.[7]
