Missing ILCs at Anja Petersen

Hi Louis, you might want to add WP:ILC to your recent bio article creation Anja Petersen, see WP:MINREF, don't want to draftify it. CommanderWaterford (talk) 09:48, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

(watching:) learning a new template, thank you. I wonder why any translation would be draftified, - obviously there's some indication of notability. - I'll take care of citations, next week. LouisAlain, please no more interesting ones, - I am booked ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:00, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Elżbieta Towarnicka moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Elżbieta Towarnicka, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. {{Re|Herpetogenesis}} Unusual and unexpected. Thank you. LouisAlain (talk) 16:41, 23 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Gilles Cachemaille requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.patrinum.ch/record/44137?ln=fr. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please note that Juliette Bise and Helena Łazarska are also tagged as copyright violations, as both are straight translations from copyrighted sources (yes, you translated other articles, but the first article in French version is a pure copyvio, and the second article in German is a straight translation of the Polish source, and a translation of a copyvio translation is (unwittingly) a copyvio as well. Fram (talk) 17:50, 29 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

The OTRS releases at fr:Discussion:Gilles Cachemaille and fr:Discussion:Juliette Bise may be relevant. -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 00:30, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The alleged Polish source given for Helena Łazarska is a dead link. Can the copyvio tag be removed? -- Michael Bednarek (talk) 00:35, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No. The link worked until yesterday, LouisAlain added it as a source less than two week ago, and I checked the copyvio status yesterday. It may be permanently dead, it may be a short-term hiccup, but a copyvio isn't "solved" when the source goes offline. Here is an archive version; [1]. Fram (talk) 07:11, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
If it can be verified that the Patrinum site indeed has released the texts under a compatible license, then the copyvio tag can go (an attribution should be given on the article though, not just a link as a source but an indication that the text is a translation of the Patrinum site). I can't verify this, as the UTRS links are ironically, dead. Fram (talk) 07:18, 30 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Friedemann Röhlig has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:NMUSIC, no significant coverage which would establish WP:GNG either, an opera singer doing his job

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
