Chhara is a village in the Bahadurgarh tehsil of Jhajjar district in the Indian state of Haryana.[1]

History

Chhara is a biggest village Dalal gotar of Dalal khap 84,tha Old famous wrestler is Sundu Singh Dalal wrestler thola Punyaan paana bhokran ,sudhan Singh Dalal wrestler Paana manyaan , The village's origin is not known, but from records of the Bhats, it is believed that this village was destroyed six times. we are living in the village since over 800 years. Our new Haveli was built 300 years ago, is still in use,known as "Shambhu Baniye ka Nohera"

Geography

Chhara is situated on the MDR 122 road between Bahadurgarh and Beri and on the National Highway 334B Loharu to Meerut.The village is situated on a low mountain, because as one enters the village the heights of streets and homes increase. Chhara is among the biggest villages of Haryana.

Notable persons

Hardwari Lal

He was hailed from this village. Hardwari Lal remained MLA for a long time, both in Punjab and Haryana, also the Member of Parliament from Rohtak Constituency in 1990–95. He was Education Minister in the cabinet of Rao Birender Singh. He was an educationist and was later appointed as Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak.

Ch. Hoshiyar Singh

He was born on 19 February 1920 at Chhara, Haryana. At the very young age of 11 left home and joined Indian independence movement with Mahatma Gandhi for Nations Freedom. As a freedom Fighter had faced imprisonment many times during independence.

Surender Singh

Surender Singh was an Indian politician from the Aam Admi Party from 2013 to 2019 two times MLA from Delhi Cantonment in the Delhi Legislative Assembly.
