Because they sponsered an award at the Golden Joysticks. Hope it's relevent enough to stay, I know it's been deleted before for being a poor article! BulbaThor (talk) 21:26, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

NPOV and Other Issues
The second paragraph in the article's introduction (Because the only aspect of the downloads that are classified as 'pre-owned' is the previously used activation code, it has been suggested that the website is a 'glorified rental service'[3] and as the actual game downloaded will be new to the player, the status of pre-owned 'makes no difference to the end user'.[3]) is not written from a NPOV. Text could be kept, perhaps in a "controversies" like section, but it does not belong in the opening of this article in its current form. It also needs to be made clear that many games purchased via GMG are not able to be traded in, such as those activated via a user's Steam account. 72.145.224.166 (talk) 06:54, 12 August 2012 (UTC)
- I just discovered this website from a promotion they're running. It feels like "trade-in value" would depend exclusively on the kinds of DRM each individual game was secured with; if it's too weak they may not be able to disable the game, if the DRM is too strong they can't control the key? - Article is written more as an advertorial for the company as it lists the company's history and achievements in excessive depth. In particular, the last paragraph of the Achievements section paints GMG in an overly positive light. Backfiah (talk) 08:08, 20 March 2015 (UTC)
- Would removing the last paragraph cut it? I agree it's way too positive. Joolzter (talk) 06:09, 30 March 2015 (UTC)
- I suppose that'd get rid of most of the bias, yes. I'm not that experienced with NPOV disputes, so if anybody else had an opinion on the issue, that'd be great. Backfiah (talk) 10:22, 3 April 2015 (UTC)

Cleanup Issues
Flagging this article for multiple issues. Feel that there needs to be additional citations to establish notability; for example, using a LinkedIn as a source is discouraged per WP:ELNO. Good chunk of the article does not appear to adhere to WP:NPOV guidelines. Some sections shout self-promotion, and a lot of copyediting needs to be done. Establishing notability should be the litmus test. JRHorse (talk) 03:26, 6 August 2021 (UTC)
