Nomination

I nominated an article that you started for Did you know on the Wikipedia main page at Template:Did you know nominations/Ouigi Theodore. SL93 (talk) 05:56, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

This makes me VERY happy! Thank you! I was thinking about it, especially after finding such a good photo of him on Flickr, but wasn't sure I had the spoons for it. Mabalu (talk) 11:16, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
You're welcome. It makes me happy that you're happy about it. When I nominate other's articles for DYK, I normally try to make it be one of the creator's first DYKs. SL93 (talk) 19:00, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
To be fair, it's been a long time since I took an article to DYK - I can't even recall what the last one was!! So I'm pretty much a born-again newbie to DYK.... Mabalu (talk) 19:18, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
blimey, it looks like it may have been Hotpants back in 2017. Kind of amazed by that, I know I took a Wikibreak for a while but didn't realise how long it had been. Mabalu (talk) 19:19, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This is a great tool for seeing an editor's old DYK nominations. It shows Template:Did you know nominations/Thea Tewi as being the most recent. SL93 (talk) 19:25, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Oh yes, also in 2017. That was a good one. Great tool!! Mabalu (talk) 19:45, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
The hook will appear on the main page on June 4 Wikipedia time. The promoter didn't choose the image, but there are only limited spots for images. SL93 (talk) 22:25, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Awesome, thanks! I saw that, but it gets the fun hook slot at the end, which is still good. Thank you again. Mabalu (talk) 23:11, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I added a cropped image of it for the DYK nomination. SL93 (talk) 19:07, 19 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Paper clothing

Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Paper clothing you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Ingenuity -- Ingenuity (talk) 21:01, 31 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Your GA nomination of Paper clothing

The article Paper clothing you nominated as a good article has passed ; see Talk:Paper clothing for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility. Message delivered by Legobot, on behalf of Ingenuity -- Ingenuity (talk) 15:01, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It seems almost a shame that it can't be nominated for a DYK again, given that it last appeared in 2010 and the article now is much larger and more expanded than it was 12 years ago - but it's good to have another GA to my credit! Thank you User:Ingenuity for reviewing it! Mabalu (talk) 15:19, 1 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for Ouigi Theodore

On 3 June 2022, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Ouigi Theodore, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that fashion designer Ouigi Theodore's anvil-horn-shaped beard inspired his alter ego, "The Bearded Man"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Ouigi Theodore. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Ouigi Theodore), and if they received a combined total of at least 416.7 views per hour (i.e., 5,000 views in 12 hours or 10,000 in 24), the hook may be added to the statistics page. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

HB Antwerp

Hi Mabalu, nice to meet you! I am working on a draft for HB Antwerp, a diamond technology company mentioned here, and seeing as you are a member of WP:GEM I thought you might be willing to take a look. Would appreciate any feedback or ideas you may have, and if you think the article is ready to be included, please feel free to do so- I have a COI and therefore cannot publish it myself. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts, Margxx (talk) 09:27, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I actually don't really feel qualified to comment on this article. To me, it looks probably OK (but this isn't really my field, I am more qualified to judge designer/artist/craftspeople articles) but I would suggest asking someone else who has experience with this kind of subject matter. Best wishes, Mabalu (talk) 12:42, 16 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
::Thanks for taking a look, Mabalu! Margxx (talk) 11:53, 21 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Yep, the full pic has since been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons as it came out of copyright, so delete away. Mabalu (talk) 23:24, 18 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
