Clean Up

The part in the "other media" section is covered in a separate article. SpongeBob SquarePants (franchise). I was thinking erase the part in this article since it's alreadly covered in a different article. Cwater1 (talk) 02:17, 15 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. This page has been tagged with "too long" since July 2020. That section could be condensed to just briefly describe the films and spin-offs, since the franchise page goes in-depth about them already. --Squittens (talk) 13:54, 21 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Development

Is the development section in this article really neccesary. It only relates to the original series and it could be easily found on that article. A history on the entire franchise would be more appropriate. For now though, I think it should be removed. Averyfunkydude23 (talk) 18:01, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree - I think it's appropriate. I wouldn't know exactly on how to write about the history of the entire franchise, so I'd say the original show works well. WannurSyafiqah74 (talk) 06:07, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Commons category inline

Would adding the commons-categoryinline for "SpongeBob SquarePants" be any useful on this article? Qwertyxp2000 (talk | contribs) 22:26, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Spongeboy was probably actually a pencil, not a mop.

Tom Kenny, voice actor for spongebob, likely got it wrong in an interview (and subsequent lectures/appearances). Nobody has actually found the mop product in question; This might be because it doesn't exist. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qnKtglBqe78 , 6:43 is the relevant portion of a video, but Eric Weise (storyboard artist/writer s1-5) said it wasn't a mop, but an east coast thing, and it turns out there was a pen made by an east coast company, Coolart, called "spongeboy", that is likely the product in question. Thanks for bringing this up. Tom Kenny does say "a mop or something" after all. I've edited the article to just say "another product". We could specify that it was a pencil, but without a more authoritative source to back this up I think "another product" is fine. Jak86 (talk)(contribs) 05:08, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This fact is also brought up in the article about the character, by chance I brought it up on the talk page there just yesterday as well. That change should probably also be made on there 95.90.232.115 (talk) 15:20, 10 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
