The Tomorrowverse is an American media franchise and shared universe centered on a series of superhero films, produced by Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment and distributed by Warner Home Video. It began with Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2021) and followed by Justice Society: World War II (2021), the two-part Batman: The Long Halloween (2021), and Green Lantern: Beware My Power (2022), and will continue with Justice League: Warworld and Legion of Super-Heroes. Jim Krieg, Kimberly S. Moreau, and Sam Register serve as primary producers of the films.

Background

The franchise gets its name after the first film in the series, Superman: Man of Tomorrow (2021) and coined by fans after the release of Justice Society: World War II (2021) and Batman: The Long Halloween (2021) due to recurring voice actors and the same animation used since Superman: Man of Tomorrow. Jim Krieg, and Kimberly S. Moreau serve as the main producers for the all the films. The in-universe timeline was established following the events of the previous franchise, the DC Animated Movie Universe (DCAMU) at the end of the DCAMU film Justice League Dark: Apokolips War (2020) in which John Constantine convinced Barry Allen / Flash to reset the Darkseid-ridden world by creating a second Flashpoint. The consequences of Constantine's actions are explored in the "Tomorrowverse" short film Constantine: The House of Mystery (2021).[1] At the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con two new films set in the Tomorrowverse continiuity were announced: Justice League: Warworld and Legion of Super-Heroes.[2]
