birthplace
Christine born in former Lancastrian village of Greenodd which is nowhere near Birmingham in England
- Indeed, it's now in Cumbria (north of Lancashire). Birmingham is 160 miles away - google map Hakluyt bean 23:50, 30 May 2007 (UTC)
- I've edited the article except category:people from Birmingham - presumably she grew up there. However, she doesn't seem to have been born anywhere near. Funny how these misunderstandings come about :) Hakluyt bean 00:10, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- Birthplace revisited -- the opening para says she was born in Greenodd, the second para says Bouth, which is correct? --ukexpat 18:39, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
- Please allow we to echo ukexpat's question: The opening paragraph says she was born in Greenodd, the second paragraph says Bouth. Which is correct? Perhaps by asking it again, someone will answer. — Chicken Shack Chicken Shack (talk) 19:48, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
- If you read more carefully, it says she was born "in" Bouth and "near" Greenodd. Sitting here in Canada, a cursory glance at Google Maps shows that Bouth is indeed about 3 miles from Greenodd. phreakydancin (talk) 04:14, 25 February 2010 (UTC)

Would it be more correct to say she was born in present-day Cumbria, which didn't exist in 1943? -98.221.133.96 (talk) 11:09, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
- re the source for her birthdate - I couldn't find it. Where do you think she was registered? Brakn (talk) 11:46, 25 October 2012 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Mcvie2.jpg
Image:Mcvie2.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Perfect (band)
It should be noted that the name of one of the greatest polish bands is derived from Christine's surname.Plushy (talk) 23:30, 3 August 2008 (UTC)
So-called "blues" scene? Explaining an edit.
I changed this to simply "blues scene." The "so-called" is snide bullshit and extremely PoV. No one in the Sixties, White, Black, U.S. or English, invented blues. The music existed and anyone had a right to play it. To claim that Mayall or Green, etc are "so-called" blues musicians is ridiculous. They weren't Blacks in the Delta in 1924, so? The "scare quotes" are an even clumsier attempt to put over the same PoV. 76.28.103.69 (talk) 20:00, 2 October 2009 (UTC)Will in New Haven76.28.103.69 (talk) 20:00, 2 October 2009 (UTC)
McVie vs Perfect
This article refers to her as "McVie" throughout, including prior to her 1970 marriage to John McVie. Would it not be preferable to refer to her as "Perfect" in the Early Life and Early Music sections? phreakydancin (talk) 04:06, 25 February 2010 (UTC)
- I've just replaced most of the "McVie"s by "Christine" in the biographical sections. I've applied similar changes in other articles on women. The rationale is the same as yours, and in addition, in this case, as concerns the narration of her life after her marriage with John McVie, things can get a little confusing between the two "McVie"s. When referred to as "Christine McVie", i left it alone. I just re-checked it, and it reads fine. --Jerome Potts (talk) 08:22, 3 October 2010 (UTC)
- Referring to her as "McVie" prior to marriage is incorrect. If using the last name, it should be "Perfect". Better would be using her given name throughout. It does not read well, at all. Al Legato (talk) 23:00, 26 January 2022 (UTC)

Problems with "Personal Life"
I know perfectly that I'm not enough keen in this matter (Christine) to modify directly the "Personal Life" section, but everybody can understand that there is something wrong! ;) It doesn't make any sense... Tomsalix (talk) 14:37, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
- The section seems more-or-less fine, but your comments are less comprehensible. Velella Velella Talk 14:46, 15 May 2017 (UTC)
I'm sorry of I cannot explain myself. What I mean is that "McVie was married to bass guitarist John McVie in 1968 with Peter Green" is a bit strange to me, it looks as if Christine had two husbands at the same time... If the section is understandable I beg your pardon Tomsalix (talk) 12:47, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- What it actually says is "McVie was married to bass guitarist John McVie in 1968 with Peter Green as best man" (my bolding). That makes perfect sense to me. Velella Velella Talk 13:39, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
The second US single release from the album, McVie's "Skies the Limit" did not make the top 100, but did chart the A/C at number 10.
What does "but did chart the A/C at number 10" mean? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.51.181.60 (talk) 09:24, 23 June 2017 (UTC)
Date of birth
FreeBMD has no birth records for a Perfect, mother's name Reece, for 1944. It does, however have this one, for Anne C Perfect, registered in 3rd quarter 1943, at Ulverston. So I would suggest the correct year is probably 1943, not 1944. Martinevans123 (talk) 16:49, 2 January 2022 (UTC)
But with regard to the two existing source used in the lead, FreeBMD is not regarded as an WP:RS (I think because [[WP:PRIMARY) but not entirely sure why) and the url for its index entries are prone to linkrot. The other source, page 61 of Unterberger (2017), is not visible in Google preview, although that should not really matter for WP:VERIFY. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:38, 3 May 2022 (UTC)
contralto categorization
Highly doubt her voice would be categorized as contralto. No citation on this. Seems bogus. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 45.51.97.23 (talk) 23:25, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
- I have removed the claim from the lead section, and the associated Category, until some source(s) can be found. Thanks. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:40, 3 May 2022 (UTC)

In Section 2/2.1, Chicken Shack - the text ends with a [citation needed] regarding her marriage to John McVie. According to England & Wales, Civil Registration Marriage Index, 1916-2005, Marriages Registered in July, August, September 1968, John G. McVie and Christine A. Perfect registered in July 1968, in Worley West District (inferred county: Worcestershire], Volume 9D, page 960. PlayRiterKV (talk) 22:08, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
Year of marriage
In the info box it says she married John McVie in 1969, but in the article under the Personal life section it says this occurred in 1968. StuZealand (talk) 23:26, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
