Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles, as you did with 1995 nebraska. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. dcandeto 22:58, 27 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've noticed your interest in college football, particularly Nebraska and would like to invite you to join the Wikipedia:WikiProject College football where you'll find many like-minded people looking expand coverage of the sport here on Wikipedia. You'll also find guidelines and formats that members of the project have developed and reached some consensus on that should be used to provide consistency in college football articles. A tag has been placed on Daniel Bruce, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.

Daniel Bruce may actually be notable enough to warrant an article, but I don't know enough about him to determine that. Metropolitan90 03:53, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Daniel Bruce. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. --Metropolitan90 03:56, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New Nebraska categories

[edit]

Per WP:MOS, the categories you created should renamed for the positions aren't capitalized (as with Category:American football defensive tackles). Therefore, for example, one category should be Category:Nebraska Cornhuskers offensive guards. Then, you should make all of these subcategories of Category:Nebraska Cornhuskers football players, not of Category:Nebraska Cornhuskers football. You can then put the unpopulated categories up for deletion at WP:CFD. Pats1 00:59, 8 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Brett Jensen

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Brett Jensen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Clamster 01:28, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Project Husker

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Project Husker, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. – Swid (talk | edits) 20:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Project Husker

[edit]

I've nominated Project Husker, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Project Husker satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Project Husker and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Project Husker during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. – Swid (talk | edits) 18:30, 12 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

2007 Nebraska football pages

[edit]

Hi, I've noticed you've done some significant work on getting this year's Nebraska team page up. If you want good examples for how to design and add to these pages, both USC and Texas Wikipedians have done good jobs on individual team pages. Examples at 2007 Texas Longhorn football team (their 2005 team page reached GA status) and 2007 USC Trojans football team (mostly my work). If I can offer advice, let me know. --Bobak 20:48, 20 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Nebraska Cornhuskers quarterbacks by year, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Johnny Dorn

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Johnny Dorn requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. License tagging for File:SDC11566.tif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:SDC11566.tif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 00:06, 4 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of {{catimprove}}

[edit]

Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Will Bolt, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you.

The article Thad Weber has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.--Baseball Watcher 01:35, 25 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The article Will Bolt has been proposed for deletion because, under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article. The nominator also raised the following concern:

All biographies of living people created after March 18, 2010, must have references.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi, I left a message at Help talk:Table#Floating Wikitable but I see that the 2012 Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball team article still has a box headed "2005 Nebraska Cornhuskers baseball Game Log", referenced to a web page titled "Baseball - 2005 Schedule/Results ".
