This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on April 8, 2023.

BJay Pak

Subject’s name is properly spelled BJay, not B.J., as reflected throughout his biographical article and in all source links. But the main article title cannot be corrected with a simple Move, because there is also an extant redirect page with the name BJay.

So I believe that in order to fix this misspelling, the redirect page will need to first be deleted, so the main article can then be moved and a new redirect created. Ultimately, the main article needs to be Moved to “BJay Pak” while the redirect should be “B.J. Pak”. Lorencollins (talk) 23:22, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Lorencollins In this case, there are several options.
  • Propose a WP:RM on the page would be the primary option, as a page mover could move it if consensus is found.
  • If you are 100% sure the move couldn't reasonably be considered controversial, use WP:RMT for a technical move request OR
  • tag the redirect with {{Db-move}}, in order to speedily delete the redirect to facilitate the move (must be uncontroversial).
Although, looking at it, it doesn't look like it would be uncontroversial, so WP:RM is likely the best option.  – CityUrbanism 🗩 🖉 09:38, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Iceland

Cross-namespace redirect (WP:CNR), which should be deleted as it doesn't name a subject that even remotely could be the subject of a Wikipedia article.  – CityUrbanism 🗩 🖉 21:52, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sm.

This two-letter combination is too common to resolve to a taxonomic abbreviation of any one person. "Sm." is used to indicate "Smith" in dozens of author abbreviations, and can also refer to "Small" or the chemical element Samarium. BD2412 T 02:34, 31 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

To Assassinate a Mockingbird

Google shows me three results for this phrase, which suggests it's not a name that this novel's ever been known by or a plausible misnomer. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 18:42, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Delete - Incredibly unlikely search term. Estar8806 (talk) 00:42, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Jake chudnow

Nominated at CSD with the rationale "target topic not mentioned at redirect" by 193.115.126.135 (talk · contribs · WHOIS). I removed the CSD tag as it's not a speedy delete criterion, but it is a valid reason for deletion from RfD unless an alternate solution can be found. (Note Jake Chudnow does not exist – however was deleted via WP:A7 in 2014 – and this page was created in 2021 as a redirect to Vsauce). TartarTorte 18:41, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

List of J1 League football transfers 2023

Clear error. Will be wrong after "summer 2023" and "winter 2023-24" transfer pages will be created. Pelmeen10 (talk) 18:14, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Sheri Moon Cummings

The word "Cummings" is nowhere in the target article, leaving this redirect's existence to be a possible WP:BLP issue. Steel1943 (talk) 17:14, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Everything from searching the name up suggests that this originates from the German Wikipedia, where this was listed as an alternate name since the creation of the article in 2005 before being removed in a ce edit in 2009. The IP who has created the article provided their sources in the edit summary: IMDB and an article on about.com, blacklisted by the English Wikipedia. Neither source (preserved in the Wayback Machine for the second one) provides it as an alternate name. Randi Moth TalkContribs 19:35, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gareth Richards

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more redirects. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on an appropriate discussion page (such as the redirect's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this section.
The result of the discussion was Withdrawn. Page is no longer a redirect. 192.76.8.84 (talk) 17:02, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Gareth Richards is not Frank Skinner. Taking the name of a person who’s (apparently?) just died, and making it a redirect to a different person who’s still alive – especially a person in a field where pseudonyms are not uncommon, so readers might assume the two names refer to the same person after all – is IMHO much worse than a redlink. Galaktos (talk) 16:25, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is now a non-redirect stub article, so this discussion is no longer necessary. (Not sure what the right vote template for that is.) Galaktos (talk) 17:00, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Double "of" redirects

Unlikely due to double "of". Steel1943 (talk) 16:24, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Farm Entrepreneur

Like Agricultural entrepenur below I don't think this is a good target for this redirect, An entrepreneur is a person, not a farm. I couldn't find a good target for this. 192.76.8.84 (talk) 14:49, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Penide

This is tagged as the alternative name of a sweet, the article of which does not mention this name. Penide is also name of a dam in Portugal mentioned in multiple articles, and a Spanish surname related to Peñate. I would recommend deletion if there is no better target or disambiguation. Jay 💬 14:45, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Agricultural Entrepreneur

An entrepreneur is a person, not a farm. From a few searches it seems like this term most commonly refers to people who invent/innovate in the farming industry, and occasionally refers to the Farmers who run the businesses. I'm not sure that we have a good target for this, as it sees to have muliple meanings, agribusiness might be suitable? Otherwise this might be better deleting per WP:RFD#D10, to encourage article creation? 192.76.8.84 (talk) 14:39, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Cheery Littlebottom

there is nothing in Discworld_(world) about Cheery Littlebottom. Marcocapelle (talk) 11:54, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I just started updating Discworld (world) and was trying to reference and link to Cheery Littlebottom assuming she'd also have an entry in Ankh-Morpork City Watch after I saw the one on Captain Carrot. I was annoyed to learn it was empty and just redirected back there via see also. When I checked to see if she had a standalone article I saw the redirect and discussion here. I think the redirect should be pointed to Ankh-Morpork City Watch#Sergeant Cheery Littlebottom and, since it's currently empty, that subsection be significantly expanded so it doesn't just two step redirect you to Discworld (world). I added an expansion needed notice about that problem (and similar ones with other characters). TheTranarchist ⚧ Ⓐ (talk) 05:03, 2 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Template:G14

I think this should be retargeted to template:Db-g14, for consistency with {{G1}}, {{G2}}, {{G3}} ... {{G12}} {{G13}}. All these other G## redirects are speedy deletion related, and it's inconvenient/confusing to have one that behaves differently. This template redirect is currently used on three pages, so it wouldn't be a lot of work to remove it's current usages. 192.76.8.84 (talk) 14:29, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Boomerang Austrailia

This redirect is titled Boomerang Austrailia, and has a misspelt Australia. I think this redirect should be deleted because of the misspelling. Regards, TechGeek105 (his talk page) 08:49, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Yungur language

Apparently this is also an alternative name of Voro language (Adamawa). 1234qwer1234qwer4 18:05, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Retarget to Bena–Mboi languages: Yungur appears to be an alternate name for this language branch, of which both Bena and Yoro are a part, as well as a number of others which are also linked from there. Ivanvector (Talk/Edits) 20:21, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • Leave as is. It appears that this is an old name applied to Bena, with only Voro also occasionally called that, and we have a hat link. E.g. the ISO code is [yun], and Glottolog calls Bena and Voro together "Yungur-Voro", and according to Blench the derivatives Yangur and Yungirba are specifically Bena. Note also that "Bena" is also used for Voro. That is, the two languages are not always distinguished. It's not uncommon for a language name to spill over onto a closely related lect, esp. if it's sometimes considered a dialect of the same language or if the first language is regionally dominant and so taken as the default. So it would seem that [yun] is both "Bena proper" and "Yungur proper", with clarification needed if we mean Voro. In fact, it would seem that "Bena" is more ambiguous than "Yungur", as according to Blench it's also used for the next closest language, Lala.
Yes, Yungur is also a label for the branch, which is why Yungur languages plural is a rd there. But that's a common situation on WP and for the sg I think the hat note is sufficient. — kwami (talk) 20:45, 23 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Useless redirect. This redirect deserves to get speedy deleted ErceÇamurOfficial (talk) 07:35, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy keep per above. Subject's full name. This is certainly not a case for speedy deletion, but rather speedy keep. Estar8806 (talk) 00:44, 9 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Military style

'Delete this is a highly vague newly created redirect. It can refer to many things that are similar to the military, or that are of the military. 64.229.90.172 (talk) 03:28, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete by all means. I created it from a list of requested redirects all to do with clothing and fashion, but out of that context it is indeed very vague. (You are supposed to notify creators of challenged redirects, by the way, but you did not notify me). Ingratis (talk) 03:50, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Disney Junior Dance Party!
