Is the phrasing "For ship named after her" correct?
Or do we need to add "the"? Apokrif (talk) 03:06, 18 April 2023 (UTC)
Add two citations
BB has been convicted of inciting racial hatred six times. I have tried every which way to merely note this with two sentences with citations. SEE BELOW But for some reason they keep getting taken down Why?
Bardot has been convicted of inciting racial hatred multiple times. {https://www.reuters.com/article/idINIndia-33883520080603} Bardot is handed her sixth fine for “Inciting Racial Hatred” {https://www.vanityfair.com/style/2021/11/brigitte-bardot-fined-for-inciting-racial-hatred}
She has been convicted SIX TIMES! This seems noteworthy! 73.24.160.43 (talk) 02:36, 29 April 2023 (UTC)
- The facts of these stories are certainly worthy of inclusion, but you need to be more careful in how you attempt to include them. We have a responsibility to ensure, per WP:BLP, that the tone is neutral. It’s especially worth noting guidelines at MOS:RACIST, given that some of your edits included phrasing like
Bardot is a fascist.
andBardot is a racist …
. - While I disagree with the decision to remove these well-sourced—if poorly phrased—additions outright, it is likely that other editors are put off by your unceasing attempts, as well as by your phrasing. For better or worse, it is not their responsibility to copy edit your contentious labels, rather than simply removing them. Remember pragmatically, it is always easier for other editors (who are all volunteers) to just click undo, than to edit your additions, especially when your additions are contentious. In all: consider phrasing these sorts of additions carefully. It is not Wikipedia’s place to call her a racist, but we can certainly note that she has been indicted for inciting racial hatred. — HTGS (talk) 23:51, 30 April 2023 (UTC)
