List of features vs pretend prose

[edit]

The feature list is ugly prose. Wouldn't it be better to be a list? Daniel.Cardenas (talk) 12:08, 27 May 2017 (UTC

8.0

[edit]

O is a friendly name given to Android version 8.0, but the number 8 does not appear in the article. It should be in thr first sentence and the quick facts. Mathiastck (talk) 03:57, 31 May 2017 (UTC) Mathiastck (talk) 03:57, 31 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Only appears somewhat in the corner, bad. Jidanni (talk) 04:14, 10 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

As an insider developer (I wish to remain anonymous) I can confirm that Android 8.0 will be codenamed Oatmeal Cookie, and as a treat if you will... The 9th version of Android will be in fact codenamed Peanut Brittle and will include Advanced VR features, multiple home screens, a "roaming" folder file system that is updateable and shareable in real time (online or offline) and will contain a very exciting easter egg game of a creature (you) going through a virtual maze (drawn out in augmented reality going after a peanut...

Anyways if you want to delete this talk go right ahead. just don't be surprised later on.

Android OAndroid Oreo – Android Oreo is the new operating system's correct name, so the article name should reflect this. Raider Duck (talk) 19:06, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Features in the intro

[edit]

Per wp:lead the intro should contain summary of its most important contents. Features are what make the topic interesting and it is what makes the topic most interesting. Without features the topic is worthless. Daniel.Cardenas (talk) 01:34, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

That is not how the lead works. It is not a laundry list that is copied and pasted from promotional material. See iOS 9. ViperSnake151  Talk  04:20, 5 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Name

[edit]

Due to Oreo being a trademarked name, how were they able to use Oreo in the update? Did they need approval from Nabisco to use the name? --Indislo (talk) 02:42, 5 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
