Hangul
[edit]How is the name of this monument written in Hangul? GeeJo (t) (c) • 09:48, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
- It seems to be 개선문, but I'm not 100 % sure whether this is the name used by officials and locals in Pyongyang. I've added it anyway.—Wikipeditor 11:55, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
- Official use confirmed. A few Pyongyang placenames are mentioned here.—Wikipeditor 18:55, 19 January 2006 (UTC)
"Victory"
[edit]Why is victory in quotes? I mean, it's obvious that the author intended that it was not a real victory, and perhaps just a sustained resistance, but such a thing can be construed as POV. I'll try to reword it.--Aleron235 01:00, 23 January 2006 (UTC)
Largest arch?
[edit]the Grande Arche at la Defence in Paris is 110 meters high.
- Grande Arche -- It's called an arch, but (quibbling) I'd think that one could make an argument that it doesn't fit the classical description of an arch. -- 201.50.251.197 15:32, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
- in Saint Louis the Gateway Arch stands 192 meters. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.79.62.19 (talk) 10:06, 31 January 2008 (UTC)
