Serial killer
Dashiellx added a section on a serial killing related tangentially to Nexopia. While the addition is almost certainly on-topic, we absolutely must not call someone a serial killer unless they have been convicted of the crime, as per WP:BLP. I rolled back the change and will delete it from the history, as required by WP:Libel, but would have no objection to it being added back so long as it adheres to BLP and Libel policies. --Yamla (talk) 18:08, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- I don't recalled adding a "section", but just added a mention to the Critisim area. But I do understand your concern under WP:BLP. Perhaps a rephrasing "It has been stated in media sources that alleged serial killer Cody Legebokoff met victim Loren Leslie, 15, online at the website".... --dashiellx (talk) 09:55, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry, perhaps "paragraph" or "sentence (or two)" would have been more accurate. Your suggested wording, above, looks entirely reasonable to me. --Yamla (talk) 17:42, 9 June 2014 (UTC)
Wording in criticism section
- "The website became a prime target for online predators." Target should be changed to a different word. The predators don't target the website; they use it as a venue to target others.
- Since a user's profile can be completely open to the public, all the profile images and information are viewable. Are user profiles always open to the public, or is there merely an option for them to be made public? If the former, the words "can be" should be replaced with "is".
