Misguiding

[edit]

This page is subjected to continuous irresponsible editing with hoax and miss information without any references whatsoever, apparently being done out of fun, I therefore request the admin to kindly change the protection level to "semi protected" to avoid unregistered accounts and proxies from messing with the article. ow@!s (talk) 05:15, 28 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Written by the subject?

[edit]

While copyediting, I came across first person sentences ("it highlighted the role i have played," references to "our nation" etc) in this article, and couldn't help but wonder if this was written by the subject in whole or in part? This, combined with the amount of unsourced materials, makes me think that this article should possibly be deleted?

About my edits of 11 April 2019

[edit]

I was drawn to this article because it was flagged in Typo Team moss's list of misspellings. But as I looked through the history of the page, I saw that there have been many repeated attempts to vandalize the page. The issue that was highlighted by Typo Team moss, "defance", began on 05 February 2018 with a series of edits by 39.51.186.159. The original sentence read:

She was then named principal of the largest Roots campus, in Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad.

IP 39.51.186.159 then played with the link to "Defence Housing Authority, Islamabad" at the end of the sentence. First, this editor changed "Defence" to "attack". Then, perhaps out of contrition, perhaps still in a spirit of vandalism, or maybe something else, this editor changed "attack" to "defance". I assume this was an attempt to revert to the previous text, but one that failed because of a misspelling.

Other instances of changes/vandalism that remained in the article for some time:

In the phrase "Along with her brothers and parents," the word "brothers" was deleted (also on 05 Feb 2018 by 39.51.186.159)
"bachelor's degree" was changed to "masters degree" (also on 05 Feb 2018 by 39.51.186.159)
the following were all modified on 15 Oct 2016 by IP 39.46.148.179:
alma mater changed from "University of London, Quaid-i-Azam University" to "University of new york, fatima jinnah University"
"CEO of Roots" changed to "CO2 of Roots" (linking to the "Carbon dioxide" article)
"represented Pakistan at the University of London International Programmes Global Symposium in 2014" changed to "represented Pakistan at the University of new york national Programmes Global Symposium in "

There have also been many attempts to introduce what I assume are derogatory slang epithets into the article or infobox; attempts to change dates, places, nationalities; attempts to insert insulting or derogatory claims into the article, and others.

There is one change I left in that I suspect may have been a kind of vandalism, but may have simply been a correct update-- early versions said that both of her children were students at Roots schools; an update changed that to "one of her children".

I don't know if this is a high level of vandalism or not, or if this situation warrants additional protection of this page, but some unwanted updates may still remain in this article. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jkgree (talkcontribs) 19:04, 11 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

CEO Roots School system?

[edit]

Per [1] at the time of this post all indicators are Mushtaque R. Chaudhry is CEO of Roots School System though Khadija Mushtaq may be on the board.. My understanding is Khadija Mushtaq may be CEO of CEO of Roots Ivy International Schools which is not exactly the same organisation. There are various smei-related Roots ... organisations and its important not to get mixed up.Djm-leighpark (talk) 07:54, 23 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
